explores the evolving landscape of dance music with one eye
sharply focused on its truest forms. Hailing from Stockholm,
Eriksson built up his reputation alongside live performance
partner Kuf. The pair set up Arsenik Records in 2015, creating a
vital platform to develop their vision of 21st-century techno on
their own terms.

Steve Bicknell - Residency - 27 Nov 2024

Based in Berlin, Lucas runs the indie label SAMMLER, where he produces his own records in a
pressing plant that he also works at. SAMMLER specializes in techno and exclusively releases
Lucas's own productions under the artist name Scheermann. His tracks regularly find their way into the sets of renowned clubs and festivals such as Berghain, Bassiani, Fusion Festival, and
Awakenings. With his second label, engörn, Lucas has created a platform for house and ambient music that provides his friends with the opportunity to release their work. Engörn’s debut release is set to be celebrated in summer 2024 and is already making waves.

With Lucas´s contribution to our ASHTRAY MONUMENTS installment he presents a 3 hour long mix that was recorded in April 24 as a warm up for Vincent Neumann and sets the mood perfectly.

Peter Van Hoesen [Time To Express] Belgium

When it comes down to combining the best of many musical worlds, Peter Van Hoesen can say he's been doing it for a while now. Deeply rooted in the Brussels electronic music scene as DJ and producer since 1993, he's considered by many as a man with multiple musical talents: from straight-up dancefloor jackin' techno to advanced abstract electronica. His music has been released on his own labels Time To Express and Foton as well as through Exone, Komisch, Lan Muzic, Curle, Meakusma and Morse. He's active as a DJ, producer, sound designer and composer for contemporary dance and theatre. Peter currently lives in Berlin.

Crack Mix 186 – Alessandro Adriani

Alessandro Adriani has been championing unusual and unknown synth wave and industrial sounds for a decade now. The Berlin based Italian has done so on his Mannequin Records label as well as on Pinkman and Jealous God and at his bi-monthly party at Säule/Berghain. An inquisitive mind and avid collector whose taste ranges from jazz to Italo to disco, he is a real treasure trove of musical knowledge, as are his DJ sets. 

There’s a real sense of discovery to the mix he has laid down for us. It’s filled with chilly synths and industrial textures that are sometimes manic and wild, at others stripped back and haunting. There’s also twisted techno and macho disco, all stitched together with a sense of style that manages to sounds as much from the 80s as it does some unknown future. Adriani’s world is a timeless world, then, but one you’ll be compelled to return to over and over again.

His Master's Voice is one of those artists that is hard to associate with a specific genre in electronic music. Instead, he is recognized as an artist whose style is continuously morphing and pushing boundaries of electronic music into uncharted territories both in the studio and behind the decks. In the past few years, we've seen a constant rise of this Hannover-based artist. From his debut release on Schleifen and remarkable contribution to KANN's Banana Split release, to mind-bending Delsin debut EP and his very first LP 'Log: a Canis Majoris' on Paul Rich's KCZMRK, His Master's Voice reminds us that the electronic music universe is infinite and that one can still make music that sounds fresh and interesting. His close friendship with VRIL, with whom he often shares countless studio hours, has brought us some fantastic collaborations in the past. Two remixes on Delsin were like an introduction to the Adderall project that His Master's Voice and VRIL started just a few weeks ago with an incredible ode to 90's IDM, the track - 'Cryosleep,' which we had the pleasure of premiering. 

The mix His Master's Voice prepared for us is an intricate journey full of twists and turns through Jungle, Leftfield, Techno, IDM, and Electronica. This is one of those mixes that you'll go back to over and over again, just to hear something new that you may miss the last time you listened to it.
