I chose to blend my favorite melodies from two songs: Carol of the Bells and Veni, Veni, Emmanuel (O Come O Come Emmanuel) into a seamless piece of music. Because of the complex nature of these songs, I decided not to include lyrics - rather to accentuate my favorite pieces of each song with cello, fiddle and mythical vocals. This summer, Modd returns with his blissful sophomore Anjunadeep EP, ‘Mesmerize Me’. An uplifting journey though deep, pensive soundscapes, the EP is characterised by dreamlike atmospheres and trademark soft keys.

Modd’s title track ‘Mesmerize Me’ quickly gives way to hypnotic percussion and enigmatic vocals in ‘Flight Flow’. ‘Velotrip’ smartly layers sea-side field recordings with gentle textures, whilst ‘Abenaki’s’ angelic chorals aptly conclude the release in euphoric fashion.
