For EYX010 London-based Italian producer Ikävä Pii returns on the label (following their first appearance with ‘EPOS Digitale’ from September 2021) with a new mind-melter EP titled ‘Process
Fatigue’, their first release of 2022.

Written “literally” while keeping “Discord and Ableton open at all times” and funnelling “ideas from one channel to the other”, ‘Process Fatigue’ contains four quirky club ready cuts reflecting the
intent of the artist in developing new creative processes.

A downshifting sound signals the beginning of Protocol Art, the opening track introducing the listener to the new broad palette of sound from the Italian produce. This dance tool plays around
the alternation of rhythm and melody, while enveloped synthesisers and warped samples convolute into kaleidoscopic musical textures until the last bell hits and dissolves into silence.

Fast paced hit-hats, a syncopated rhythmic session and analog harmonies and effects follow next in Group Chats with High Signal-to-Noise Ratio Become Coops, delivering an unconventional DJ
tool with an incredible attention to sound designs.

Reaching towards the core of Ikävä Pii’s latest work there is title track Process Fatigue, which brings the listener into dark dubstep and obscure dance influenced territories driven by leading sub basses, an incessant kick and a glitchy percussions.

The closing cut is Relevant Channel which kicks off with atmospherical pads, a combination of wild gamelan percussions, tweaked synthesisers and time stretching effects succeeded
imminently diverting the track into a flamboyant rhythmic dance.

Sisyphean nature of grassroots organising and artistic creation.
It was composed while researching a method and developing a set of tools for both SODAA (the
London collective working on a model for a community-operated club) and a new personal
creative cycle; Discord and Ableton open at all times, ideas crossing from one channel to another -
while also adjusting to chronic tiredness.
New protocols spawn new art and ways of sharing it - but avoid fetishising the process, or you’ll
get stuck. Just make the tune! Do the party! Mess up! Have fun!”

From the shores of Bermuda to the inner-city musical depths of the UK underground club scene. Unearthed, heavy and convicting sound culture delivered by his Caribbean and African roots.

Bermuda born musician and visual designer Jahday Ford aka Obeka transitioned into the Manchester music scene in 2016 building a native sound and rhythm distinct to his homeland. The Me Gusta Collective Co-Founder blends native styles from Pan-African, Caribbean and South American origins that became essential for manifesting polyrhythmic electronic beats and tempos with a mix of live and software based drum recording. Obeka has ventured his sound in a multitude of UK cities and beyond the shores in Bologna, Brussels, Cuba, Lisbon and Munich and most recently finishing a debut tour in Colombia.

Fresh off his first year as a new resident for Oroko Radio based in Ghana, Obeka has dived into the airwaves of BBC Radio, Rinse FM, Rinse France, NTS Radio, Miami Community Radio and most recently Berlin radio Refuge Worldwide. Obeka has expanded his sound beyond the borders supporting musicians such as Lil Silva, Femi Kuti, Kampire, Sampha, Tinariwen and Ghanaian MC Bryte.

I’m super happy to announce the release of my new project : 𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗜𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗦 on 26th of February !!

This project started a year ago with the release of ANSWER THE PHONE in April 2024 ☎️ 

At this time it was a challenge for me to find an easy way to share my music with y’all and staying 100% independent. And so I had the idea of giving me one year to provide you a 6 track EP made for the club that mixes all my influences…

So now, since I’m leaving for a couple months to get a well deserved rest, I decided to end this project by giving you the 3 remaining songs : ONE, RIDE DAT TING and RATTLE 

But that’s not all !!!

I’m currently working on some merch ! You’ll soon be able to have your own key ring with the visual of your favorite track from the project 🔑💙

[kevinindafield] is an electronic music project created by non-binary Sudanese producer, DJ, radio host and sound engineer Ahmed Abbas. Based on playfulness, it aims to reflect early nostalgic childhood influences through the exploration of different realms of music. A melting pot of footwork, juke, jungle, grime, rave and bass combined with a foundation in diasporic heritage and Afro-futuristic roots, [kevinindafield] is not one to shy away from bringing an abundance of energy.

With previous compilation features on labels such as Juke Mx & Rose Bonica's imprint, Roses Are Red, 2024 sees [kevinindafield] releasing their debut EP 'Golta Shino' on Jamz Supernova's Future Bounce label. Garnering support and coverage across the scene from the likes of DJ Mag, Martha, Scratcha DVA, Tom Ravenscroft, Breaka, Anz and more, [kevinindafield]'s first solo release boasts four tracks accelerating at the speed of 160 BPM, using samples from old-school video games and Sudanese TV shows whilst weaving seamlessly between jungle, footwork, juke, bass and rave sounds that aim to rattle your speakers and shake the dancefloor!

Playing a key role in amplifying the sounds of jungle, footwork and beyond within South Africa, their DJ sets and radio shows shine a limelight on lesser-known artists in the scene. Advocating for lineups and spaces that promote inclusivity (an ethos that carries through all of their work and contributions) through their residency on Oroko Radio and curating musical programmes for local platforms such as The Other Radio. They have been involved in exceptional lineups for events and radio broadcasts, including NTS Radio, Worldwide FM, HKCR, Noods Radio, Search Festival and The Death of Glitter.
