'The Hell

Hi!!!
It all started with my brother Lee, he had brain cancer and had not been behind a kit in awhile and wanted to see what he had left in the tank. He worked and worked and was soon joined by Dave the bassist (on the far right). They started jamming together and was soon joined by Ben Teague on guitar. They had been meeting up and playing for awhile when my brother asked me (on the right with a head on my shoulder) to come sing with them. I was skeptical because I had not in a long time. Dave had been in other bands and is an excellent Bass player (awesome actually), Lee was hitting his stride and sounding better than ever, and Ben was just starting on his guitar journey. We would meet up and attempt to cover some favs. Eventually we had an opportunity to open at the Slippery Noodle in Indianapolis for Hairbangers Ball at an event. We were then joined by a long time guitarist Matt Smith. Matt had been in a few bands as well and had played with Dave before too. We completed 8 cover songs and were able to get that gig done quite well. We then added Ryan Smith (far left) as guitar number 2 and really were able to open up our sound. Like his dad, he too is an excellent guitarist (awesome actually). After adding 20 more covers and playing all over Indiana, we decided to try to write our own music. With the combined music experience of Matt and Dave and all our different musical styles and ideas, we were able to make music we enjoy playing. We were going for a unique yet identifiable sound. We worked and worked in my garage\bar\studio until we had our first 8 originals. We released the first album after going to Arc Barn Studio to record it. After releasing we played at multiple places in Indiana and Cincinnati. We stopped to work on a second album. We were 7 songs in when Lee became really sick. He made me promise we would continue and not let it end. With some adjustments we continued on after his passing. We added Phoenix after he did some work with us on a track i had wrote for lee. He then wrote lyrics on a couple of the songs and we thought he was a great fit. together we continue on....
