To close out the summer in style on ICONYC Noir we welcome back New York producer Tenerfuse with his brand new 'Vacant EP' to the label. Chris treats us to an aural symphony of progressive house sounds, fitting for any occasion and a wonderful way to say thank you for all the love and support we received all year.

The EP kicks off with the title track 'Vacant'; a grooving deep progressive influenced house roller fusing chord stabs with manipulated string ensembles and clinical percussion that culminate into a club inspired piece of house music. Tenerfuse's trademark beat maneuvering is prevailing, as all manner of elements drift in and out of earshot. Perfect for progressive loving club crowd and to get you in the mood for a big night out.

Next up we have 'Resist', another fantastic deep progressive influenced track, interspersing with roomy filling beats and filtered chords. Chris manages to keep the energy up, allowing the driving house vibe to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape, which exquisitely leads into the drop to round off this brilliant underground crowd pleaser. Need we say more?

Tenerfuse has developed a unique style which endeared him to us; having establishing his credentials as master of the craft, he showcases his talents by taking them a step further, displaying that there're no boundaries. This amazing melodic gem guides you to a deep club sound laden, melodic hug of a release that will leave you with many smile induced moments! Not to be missed. The second track of the EP, "Maya", intersperses two melodic lines in an analogous way the stars cosmic dance, an epic and intergalactic feeling emphasized by orchestral strings, a characteristic very present in Alessio's productions. The break's return is euphoric and relieving, with timbres so hot that they can warm even the coldest hearts. It is impossible not to fall in love with this tune!

"Yair Zarmon returns to the Bullfinch family with a two - track EP called "Choices We Make". The EP hints at a medley of influences that Yair had grown up listening to. From Sasha and John Digweed's progressive breakbeat of the early 2000's to Sven Vath's early expeditions at Space Ibiza, "Sparks of Sanity" is a reflection of the style that defines Yair's musical journeys. Both tracks were produced at the height of the Covid pandemic, giving them hints of melancholy, and hope. This is definitely an EP that brings out the best of melodic techno."

We are delighted to welcome Dutch duo Engelbert with their brand-new 'Cosmos Descent EP' to ICONYC. The talented producer duo has been causing a stir within the scene with their unique and lasting productions. Engelbert developed an inimitable style of music, full of drive, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided them to where he they are today and embodies the sound, they now personify. 
 
On his debut Engelbert lead with the outstanding 'Descent'; a stunning driving progressive house affair with some melodic techno elements for good measure. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and driving synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a deep kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an ingeniously worked piece of art. 

The melodic soundscapes of the accompanying track 'Cosmos' rounds off this spectacular release. Engelbert's influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, complemented by a stunning groove that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. Stunningly textured pads that warm the soul and a strong melodic infused bassline provide the base for this inspired piece to play out in delayed glory. Essential stuff!

With Engelbert's brand-new outing on ICONYC, they take their talents a step further to round off this brilliant underground 2 track crowd pleaser.
