The wind blows you little grain of sand. You are nothing, the desert is everything.
She devours you. You are smaller than an insect. Walk from dune to dune.

Hear the soft whisper of the dunes. Listen carefully to what the hot desert wind “Calima” has to tell you.

This piece is a continuation of our previous track titled „Deep Ocean”. We invite you to explore the depths of the ocean. It’s a delightful journey, but also a disturbing one. You will find there not only beautiful underwater landscapes, but also dangerous places. Light and unearthly colors pass into darkness. We hope we have expressed all this in our music. Soundscape for All Saints' Church, Martock, Somerset. Poem written and performed by Lucy Jago. Chorister Ivo Clark. Mixed by Jake Jackson Air Studios. Recordings all taken in and around the church including sounds of the congregation, hymn, organ and prayer.  Field recordings taken on Somerset Levels include starling murmuration, booming bittern, water fowl at dawn, contact mics in the sweet track bog and hydrophones in Noah's Lake.
