Placid. Adjective. Meaning: “calm and peaceful,”. As far as DJ names go this one might describe Craig’s personality, but when it comes to his style of music, it's diametrically opposite to as his name describes.
Craig Placid has created a sound that’s best described as deeply complex Techno, characterized by Hypnotic Rhythms that are driven by Multi-Dimensional Beats. 

Now based in the United States, Craig is originally from Johannesburg South Africa where he played alongside his brother Grant VR as Sound Sensible, now stalwarts of the South African techno scene, the culture of dance music is forged in blood between these two. Playing together for over 17 years earning their respect amongst South Africa’s more discerning music lovers and DJ’s alike. 
As one of the resident DJ’s at TOYTOY in Johannesburg Craig Placid has helped the brand establish itself as one of the premier underground dance music nights in South Africa.

The idea behind my mix was to specially select tracks that carry a certain energy and emotion with them. The mix has both slightly older and newer tracks to create this energy.
