CRAIG BENION - MOVE YOUR BODY

Craig Benion is a self-taught DJ from Tipton, West Midlands & has been mixing for around 10 years since he took a keen interest in music and the DJ scene. He listens to a wide variety of music but mixes mainly House which consists of Bassline, Jacking, Electro and Funky House. His main influences are Ill Phil, Joe Hunt, Ste Savage and Davey Boy.

Craig’s first time he ever played out was at his local pub where he held a weekly night playing a wide variety of vinyl such as Dance, Trance and Funky House. After about a month of doing this he then took a very big keen interest in the Speed Garage / Bassline House scene which started him off collecting and mixing vinyl from some of his favourite producers.

After a while he then proceeded to mix Bassline House on his night at his local pub which eventually lifted off very well keeping the pub busy on a weekly basis. After his local pub closed down for unforeseen circumstances he began moving from this and gained a booking at The Lounge Bar with another upcoming DJ called DJ Craigy Boy where he started making more of a name for himself. After playing at a few more venues like Twisted Bar and Alchemy mixing Bassline he then began thinking it was time for a scene change.

Craig decided to give the house scene a try as it is one of his favourite genres to listen to and began mixing Jacking and Electro House. After doing one or two mixes his first booking came along in this scene at a place in Wolverhampton called Gorgeous Bar where he has had numerous bookings from there.
