For their second release, Oath welcomes Berlin–based producer Moomin; who brings forward a three-track EP entitled ‘The Snoofer’. Alongside three original tracks, UK producer Seb Wildblood also provides a remix for ‘For Willow'.

The title track, ‘The Snoofer’, wades through squelching percussion and deep swinging grooves as underlying synth-lines remain marching alongside locked kicks and fluctuating bass.

Arriving at ‘For Willow’, Moomin delivers a hazy, serene Hang Drum melody that tumbles and fades away, opening space for wispy pads and steady drum furrows.

Multiple label head and mainstay UK producer, Seb Wildblood, known for his distinct house style; offers up a soothing remix for ‘For Willow’. Steeped in warmth, the track sways back and forth from the blanket of pads to the syncopated rhythms of the instrumentation.

For ‘Breathe’, we see Moomin layering arpeggios and live drum cadences that seem to melt and mould together, floating and falling yet unwavering and firm.

LeSale is back with the Synchronized EP, which marks his fifth solo EP on Luv Shack Records.

The title track is LeSale´s first foray into boogie-funk, featuring lyrics and vocals by Kathy Diamond, one of the great voices of the early nu-disco era and former singer of the duo KDMS, as well as tape mixing by vienna based studio wizard Sam Irl. "Synchronized" comes in 4 versions; the classic vocal mix featuring the full vocals by Kathy Diamond, the instrumental mix which is stripped of the vocals entirely, the extended dub mix, featuring arrangement and additional overdubs by Sam Irl, concentrating on the bare,funky essence of the track and finally a special remix by Ooft!.

Blue Train’ is created by Piero and is the second release from the newly formed label, My Cup Of Tea. Piero, who is also the label owner, gives us four tracks of deep house that blend jazzier notes along with seductive grooves. The title track is an upbeat, pumping late-night gem that blends some vocals along with a smooth saxophone sample, ‘Nikes On My Feet’ adds a cool broken-beat rhythm to the mixture while still being pretty darn techy and funky and we love the use of the acid line that balances out the jazz sounds. For the B-side you have original version of ‘International Language’ along with a remix of it by Carlo (Carlos Alvarez). You can’t go wrong with either version as a DJ. My Cup Of Tea is off to a strong start for sure

After a flawless debut on the label 2018, Montreal’s Gene Tellem returns to WOLF Music with four, deep, lights-dialled-low, atmospheric voyages for those that like to get down.

‘Ain’t Got Everything’ opens - a late-night cruiser, with the kind of bass whose groove you'll get lost in and never want to end. Soulful, echoed out vocal samples add to the mesh of synths, arps and electronic rumblings that wrap you up from the off.

Staying on that mesmerising tip, ‘Mind Readers’ is a slice of heads-down Detroit business. A tougher cut of skipping percussion, buzzing subs and glitched up vocal madness from deep within the mind of Tellem.
Flip it over and Connecticut-based, Bu-Mako Recordings head honcho, Jenifa Mayanja works her magic on ‘Ain’t Got Everything’. Weaving in hypnotic arps and pulsating analogue textures that give way to a blissful piano breakdown, it's a grittier, heavyweight remix that still manages to maintain the ethereal tinge of the original.

Buckling up and closing it out, ‘2nd Time Around’ hits with over-driven sonics and magnetising synth melodies for this certified brain dancer.

The Motor City via Montreal, tied up with a quality we’ve come to expect from Gene Tellem.

Following a journey of releases via Morocco, Uganda and Kenya, we're looking a bit closer to home for our 5th physical release with an accomplished debut vinyl EP from Manchester-based producer Clay.
Sounds of the city run through this record with ethereal synths, scattered percussion and driving low end showing a breadth of dancefloor influences spanning broken beat and classic house.
The EP swings into life with the beautifully layered grooves of ‘People Floating’ before jumping headlong into title track ‘Shapes (Dreaming Mix)’, which is packed full of nostalgia and sounds like it was crafted for a specific moment at 3am in a Salford club. On the B-side, ‘Up There’ is a late-nite slow burner that morphs into a relentless house banger.
