I turned 33 this year, and seeing as I first discovered The Prodigy when I was 13, I thought it was about time I celebrated my life defining moment of finding XLC-26 down my local Woolie's with an all encompassing set of Prodigy mixes.

That second track on Everybody In The Place, G-Force, blew me away when I heard it.
It was solely responsible for getting me into Rave/Old School, and subsequently, Techno.
The sleeve is a bit battered and covered in a bit of coffee, the plastic cover is cracked, and I don't even have a tape deck anymore.
But it's a great reminder of a defining period of my life, discovering The Prodigy.

So anyway, here's part one of a three part celebration of their awesomeness.

Another one of my favourites off the hard drive. This was a mix that appeared on Little Detroit around about '96/'97 I think. My memory is a little hazy, but if I can recall, Mark Gage started messing around with hard disk recording using an Atari, and knocked this up by using loads of his mates records. Anyhow, it's a cracking mix.
