Craquages Collectifs is the crazy project of the three troublemakers ergen101, Meli Mena and BisouBisou, which aims to help the victims of the 'metro-work-dodo' system by creating spaces where they can freely express everything that everyday life prevents them from letting out. Driven by a mad ambition to establish themselves as key players on the Parisian Bass and Break scene, they called on a hand-picked selection of the scene's flourishing artists for their very first Various Artist. The compilation, featuring 11 club weapons with both mystical and incisive vibes, reflects the eclecticism dear to the Craquages project. 

Among these tracks lies french DJ and producer Qant's gem : ‘Tha Message’. Taking pleasure in sweeping through the tempo range in their dj sets from quite a long time, Qant noticed the struggle to bridge the gap between 140 and 160bpm. They made it a mission to fill this void by producing homemade tunes that would both address this issue and allow themselves to explore furthermore the crafting of breakbeat tracks below the standard 160 bpm. ‘Tha Message’ is one of these tracks, a love letter to hardcore junglism completed with pitched up hip hop samples and rave stabs, driven by a good old four to the floor beat and relying on a meaty sub bass for days.

Besides their contribution to Craquages’ compilation, they're more exciting news from Egregore Collective label manager : they're co-launching a new label called Trajectoire with french producers navigating the hardcore music continuum and self-releasing their first LP, ‘Oceans’, later this month, where they explore new atmospheric realms and tell the tale of a journey through a quest for identity.

Grrlsss’ member and Toulouse-based artist 130E0A is passionate about musical identities that easily jump over aesthetic borders. Mixing bass music, hard dance, hip-hop, and jungle, as well as being influenced by ambient and trip-hop culture, 130E0A keeps in mind two essential aspects of every festive and musical experience : hip moves and spiritual permanence. Their productions, created in the shadows of their home, perfectly fit with their wild DJ sets, in which deconstructed rhythms and massive bass mingle with more poetic strands of dream and light.

In January 2023, the village of Lützerath in Germany was occupied by activists protesting against the expansion of a local coal mine. From the beginning of the movement, the infamous police watchdogs arrived to try to interrupt it. But they didn't expect the grand arrival of the Mud Wizard, who, like Gandalf the White arriving on the seventh day in the East, would change the course of the battle. 

This track, while primarily paying homage to this courageous sorcerer, also attempts to musically translate the events of that glorious day. The voice of the wizard rises gradually, disregarding the muddy synthesizers and transforming them into devastating spells, soaring above a chaotic terrain and striking their targets with thunderous percussion. 

In this muddy jungle, you will find yourself dancing skillfully above the clumsy and bewildered pigs, lost in the subs, and you will look down upon them, saying: "You have no power here.""

EVERYBODY TRANCE's crew member Maelita opens this compilation. With 'No More Daddy Issues' she delivers a dark universe where acid synths, deep bass and demonic laughter intertwine to give life to an outlet we can easily identify with, setting to music the chaotic encounter with the demons that lie dormant inside us all and that we seek to silence at all costs.

Shonen Bat is a prolific producer from the new bass music, techno and break scene from France who shares a music filled with a deep optimistic club energy. In a constant research of pushing forwards the boundaries of dance music, his tracks are made for dancefloors of the new era, filled with the most peaceful connections between people and music.

The track 'Unstoppable' has been secretly kept in an old computer for years, like a treasure we find again in the attic. Composed as a tribute to the Chicago footwork scene, it's a crossover of multiple inspirations, including elements of video games music and pitched vocals that reminds us of the hardcore breakbeat era. Some of us will also find an easter egg stolen from a famous pop song. With a build-up made of 8 bits synth and digital fantasies, it slowly opens the path to a vibrant bassline, inviting the listener to give a hug to the Soundsystem.

FAIRIEZ are proud to debut what they consider one of their more technically advanced tracks, using deeply layered bass synth underneath a constant, or static stab layer. 

The duo prides themselves on believing in musicality and vibe over a particular genre, and that’s present in their releases and mixes. ‘STATIC STAB’ is yet another example of how FAIRIEZ is capable of creating their own universe of sound.
