Composed by recording and splicing tapes in The City University London Music Studio in 1982. Part of my final year coursework in 20th Century Music and Tape Composition. The original Moog synthesizer, piano, ring modulator. This track was mastered from a Revox B77 to a cassette tape, forwards.

Blend of three noise makers, a Thingamagoop 3000 as the main voice, with a Loud Objects "Broccoli" and a Rucci 8-bit power synth both played through a Boss DD-8 shimmer effect and mixed in and out. Loosely inspired by Varese Poeme Electronique (1955).

The first Daydreamers Podcast comes from Finnish artist Blamstrain who has just released a new album “For All The Dreamers In”. Well respected among his artist peers, his endearing ability to nonchalantly cross genres and try out new things has also caused debate among his listeners, wondering where he will go next. His trademark sound is very immersive; analog, warm, with a high concentration on ambience and space. For us he has recorded a dj mix with lots of slowed down and reversed vinyl, super stoned deep lo-fi feel for daydreaming…

Loop the odd harmonic output into the FM input of the telharmonic oscillator for some easy 1:1 FM. Maths is used to toggle between invert and not, and a second channel of Maths toggling between unison and octave tuning.

A tribute in the style of the first compilation on Mille Plateaux. The structure of the sounds are derived from the five Platonic Solids and layered to be mixed into an evolving pattern emerging from every side.

I was in the middle of recording stems for an installation piece, and had exhorted collabs out of some friends.  This is a rough mix that sounds like what five minutes of sitting in the installation would sound like, and I slammed it together at three in the morning a few weeks before the piece's deadline to send to some friends for inspiration for their parts.

It's made of field recordings and synth parts, I forget which ones in particular made it into this mix because my recordkeeping skills are terrible, but there was certainly a Korg Wavestation, a Korg Micro-X, and a Roland JV1080 involved.
