Attention, everybody! In case you haven’t heard,
there’s a new prophet in town, with a brand new word.
You know, he’s got the Scriptures “nailed down to a ‘T’”
Only thing is he don’t know if he believe.
If you’re looking for something, he’s looking right at you,
and he come’s with a question: it’s “Whatcha gonna do?”

Cuz if you’re searching for answers,
he says: “Just look inside yourself, 
and let go of all you’ve held!”

Attention, everybody! The latest just came in.
It seems they’re charging interest now to cleanse us of our sins.
It’s a hundred for confession, a thousand for advice. 
But it’s those w/out the funds who really pay the price! 
Turns out the steeple was just a fast-food sign,
Charging orders of the Big, fat Macks to the starving last in line. 

They can’t put their souls at ease. 
They just want some peace of mind,
and some meaning to their lives.

Well, they’re praying for something that’s worth their belief,
crying for someone to bring them relief,
reading ‘tween lines that may hide what they seek,
and clasping their hands to their hearts, just like me… 

And when we sing out, our voices
join to write us a new song,
lead us to where we belong – home!
