Originally released as chilled Lo-Fi song by a mysterious producer, "Raining in Japan" has been taken into uncharted territories with this Remix. It bears references to Jungle, grittier DnB and the fatal feeling of final goodbyes.

Aftermath

During the summer, I went through one of the worst bouts of anxiety I’d ever had, becoming terrified about the uncertainty of my future. After a month of barely sleeping, massive loss of appetite, feeling sick to my stomach every day and becoming afraid to work on music, I’ve only recently started to feel better fully and begun to seek professional help, but my fear of failure combined with my worries over my future life are still there.

I’m in the incredibly privileged position to be able to have chosen a university course and direction of study that interests me, and I want to make that count more than anything right now. Regardless of where I may end up, I’m throwing my whole weight behind my work, because I refuse to stop trying to turn the privilege I’ve been given into something that makes an impact on people, the same way that other’s creative work has impacted me forever.

Though it started as a way to finish off a year-old musical idea, ‘Gradual Confidence’ has become my way of at least trying to push through some of my fears. I hope that it brings some comfort to you too!
