Thumping, clashing, unapologetic sounds build up from a different space of soundscape and deep industrial sounds. Im using underground tracks straight out of cities like Amsterdam, Antwerpen, Berlin but also Istanbul.

Born and raised in Utrecht, I have had a special relationship with the city and its nightlife. Because of that I want to have a positive effect on my city. I have tasted almost everything that the city has to offer, and I take great inspiration from all those musical and nightly experiences. I see the music I play like a city; it can be calm and deep but also loud and energetic. Building on top of that mesmerizing thumping techno sound I try to use acoustic, jungle, hardgroove and trance influences to create my own sound. My love for the techno genre began, as so many, in berlin. There I discovered my love for the more industrial and underground-like sounds. I take pride in finding new and unknown music from around the world and being able to share it with friends and strangers. It feels like I only got a taste for everything that is out there, which is why I am excited and curious for what the future will bring.

My name is G.A.S., which stands for: “gegeneraliseerde angststoornis” also known as generalized anxiety disorder. A friend of mine asked me when I told them that name: “do you really want to be associated with that.” I simply responded: “Imagine having to live with it.” It is important to me that whatever I do in life helps to normalize, support and/or empower people with mental health problems. Whether it is on a small or large scale.
