We've taken some of our favorite track submissions from the last year and brought them together in a showcase of the heavy, gritty, and experimental styles buried deep within the cavernous world of underground bass. For our final release of 2023, we’re pleased to present the newest work from Boston based producer and close friend of The Rust, Maxfield – a 4-track uptempo EP titled Boondoggle. This release continues his testament to versatility, blending acoustic instrumentation with mechanical sound design – exemplifying the depth of his understanding of the craft through extraordinary musicality and creative mind. 

Maxfield's repertoire covers a wide range of grooves and emotional landscapes, and a formal release from the high-energy end of the spectrum is long overdue. Boondoggle draws inspiration not only from dance floor energy, but also from the world of animals and nature – the mind-crushing awesomeness of which is enough to send even the strongest of us into a verklempt tizzy.
