Previously known as Solid Stone, Phenomena label boss Elias Erium celebrates the label's five-year anniversary with special five track EP ‘Echoes’, a project which tactfully ties his roots of Solid Stone with the  contemporary sounds of his new moniker Elias Erium. Early supporters of his new project include Adriatique, Mind Against and Nick Warren new chapter of Eilas’ career. 

‘Sol’ is exactly the kind of confounding starting point that an Erium project seems to relish in; one with a newly sprawling, saga-like story to tell. Unique in design and execution; its punchy kick drums, cross-cultural musicality and balmy, character-rich motifs maintain a sense of urgency, but also soul, and with a storyboard filled with fire-starting spontaneity, it’s a creation that astute dancefloors will certainly appreciate.

A new artistic pairing to grace the Balance Music catalogue, NILU & Philipp Straub now join forces to create 'The Gate' EP. A common sight across the clubs of his Denmark home, NILU has been a key component of the likes of Culture Box and Werkstatt while also performing on the international stage in Berlin, Tokyo, Ibiza and Tel Aviv. A 5-year production career that began with a twin-track EP on Sezer Uysal's Dark Pleasure Records has subsequently seen a raft of original music on the likes of Einmusika, Bar 25 and Bunny Tiger Dubs, the latter seeing the 'We Both Know' EP released in July 2023. 

A legendary figure in the world of underground dance music, Philipp Straub has been at the upper echelons of an ever-changing industry for three decades. A regular performer across his Austrian homeland and beyond as an internationally touring DJ, Philipp's ability to captivate audiences with a distinctive and innovative blend of music has seen him much in-demand across central Europe, the Middle East and beyond. Simultaneously, a production career has seen him feature heavily on a host of blue-chip imprints that include, Yoshitoshi, Variety Music and a quarter century of credits for John Digweed's Bedrock Records. 

'No Limit' is propelled forward via a huge, chest-thumping kick and dramatic stereo-panned effects, while light percussive claves create a subtle sonic tension of their own. Combined with a fast-paced arpeggiated sequence, NILU & Straubb have created a 7-minute tech-infused offering that offers a glimpse of melodic light at the stripped back mid-point before dropping back into the deep hypnotic groove of earlier movements in the second half.
