2382 There's Joy in the House

Growing up doesn't have to be tough all the time. Sometimes the smallest thing takes up the most room in your heart. Shout out your praise! Kids have it rough nowadays. But it's going to get tougher if we as parents don't stand up for them. And that doesn't mean by setting rules only. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at .&nbsp;   Now I understand there are times we need to be harsh, bold, and direct with our children. We need to train up our children (Proverbs 22:6) to set boundaries with no wiggle room.&nbsp; However, it's not about being prisoners in our homes.&nbsp; But at the same time, if all of our parenting skills revolve around discipline and no celebration, what will be retained? How will you be remembered, in their eyes? "With every strike of the tongue, there needs to be a stroke to the heart." ~ Kristianne Wargo The K.I.S.S. ~ Shout out your praise!   Rules and boundaries are set for many reasons.  Safety and protection Education and teaching moment Respect and relationships  And within those sets of rules, there are consequences, good or bad. But what about the celebration? What about your child knowing he/she did an extraordinary job in a difficult situation? What about when your child serves even though it wasn't the easy way to do so? Our children need to hear our praise for them. So how can you shout out your praise?  Drop the "I told you so!" -- You might want to be right. But many times, it's better if your child realizes he/she did it right. Notice the little things. -- When they pick up their shoes, thank them for the effort. Acknowledge what your child does before he/she has to point it out. Celebrate out of the blue. -- Rave about your child, both to them and others.  Life is never easy growing up no matter what. But each of us as parents can groom our children's hearts to grow deeper and wider not because of being struck down all the time, but by the smallest thing that takes up the most room in their heart. 2499 Shout Out Your Praise!

We fall, we break, we fail. We rise, we heal, we overcome. Rise to the occasion. This is your living legacy; it's life in motion. You are not guaranteed tomorrow. But you do have today! 2524 Rise to the Occasion

Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in You I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. ~ Psalm 57:1 Have you found yourself crying out to God asking for His help? There is so much going on in this world today and in your life. Yet, you have a God who loves you more than you can imagine. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at .&nbsp;   So I want to look at the Psalm 57:1-11. Little do we read the full context of what's been written. We take what we need and move on.&nbsp;  1&nbsp;Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;until the disaster has passed.   2&nbsp;I cry out to God Most High, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;to God, who vindicates me. 3&nbsp;He sends from heaven and saves me, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;rebuking those who hotly pursue me— &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.   4&nbsp;I am in the midst of lions; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts— men whose teeth are spears and arrows, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;whose tongues are sharp swords.   5&nbsp;Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;let your glory be over all the earth.   6&nbsp;They spread a net for my feet— &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I was bowed down&nbsp;in distress. They dug a pit&nbsp;in my path— &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;but they have fallen into it themselves.   7&nbsp;My heart, O God, is steadfast, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;my heart is steadfast; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I will sing and make music. 8&nbsp;Awake, my soul! &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Awake, harp and lyre! &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I will awaken the dawn.   9&nbsp;I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I will sing of you among the peoples. 10&nbsp;For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;your faithfulness reaches to the skies.   11&nbsp;Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;let your glory be over all the earth.  However, as David writes there is so much more. Let me give you the back story of this Psalm. In the Psalm, David writes two sections. The first is him giving life to the anxiety that he felt, crying out to God for assistance against Saul and David's enemies. The Psalm concludes with David entering into the confident expectation of deliverance, stirring up his soul to praise God. The K.I.S.S. ~ Have mercy on me!   When life happens, we replay the bad over and over again, leaving only the leftovers of hurt to console us.&nbsp; But that's not living, nor how God desires us to live.&nbsp; Just as David faced his anxiety and enemies, he still praised God. And little do we hear about the good and the bad going together. But that's what makes God so good.&nbsp; It's not because of our circumstances, but who God is.&nbsp; God is in control. And yes, you and I still have to do our parts.&nbsp; But you must understand that even in the direst of situations, there is still hope. And no, you may not get what you want from it, at least how you see the outcomes. Yet that doesn't mean that God loves you any less. Honestly, I think that's what we as humans struggle with. We can't see what God knows.&nbsp; And He knows best, even when we don't like the outcome of the situation. CHALLENGE: Be more like David. Cry out to God with your struggles and troubles. Be honest with what you are feeling. And then, at the same time, celebrate God's goodness and be steadfast knowing that He's got you always!   "Be present. Be incredible. 2599 Have Mercy on Me

But [the Lord] said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Cor 12:9) It's His grace for purpose. "Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." (2 Corinthians 12:9) Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at .    One thing that astounds me is how we boast about what God has given us when all is good. But when life happens with little answers and reasons to be chaotic, immediately we search for the earthly logic, leaving God in the dust. Or sometimes, we claim God's in control, yet secretly we are trying to control everything. Very rarely do we live with grace for purpose by God's design. You are not an accident. You may be in a circumstance that warrants your frustration and anger. However, regardless of where your feet are planted, God can still remodel the area on which you stand. Nothing is impossible. There's no mountain high enough, no valley too low to keep God from being the Lord of your life. The block basically comes from you and me. The K.I.S.S. ~ Grace for purpose!   Are you one who sees life one way and has a hard time looking at it in a different way? You're not alone, because that's most of us. However, as a believer, you have hope beyond what you see. You have faith, if you choose, beyond that which you can control. You have love beyond that which you have experienced. You have grace beyond anything you imagine because of Jesus Christ and the cross. So instead of complaining and whining about where you stand, ask God to remodel where you stand.&nbsp; Accept His gift knowing that this grace for purpose is for the greater good of you. There's no other way to explain it "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." ~ Romans 8:28 (NIV) It's taking your weaknesses and turning them into strengths, not based on your own ability, but on God alone. 2606 Grace for Purpose

Expectations are tough to live by. However, when it comes to your faith, live like you belong to God. It's when you wrap your day with God's expectations, not the expectations of the world, that you experience heavenly life here on earth. It's a joy that can't come from your good works or trying your best.&nbsp; It comes because you were created in the image of God. You are His creation. And it continues to flow because God desires a relationship with you. You do not do life alone. So why live it like you do? The K.I.S.S. ~ Live like you belong to God!   In life, you were born into a family. Then you go off to school and belong to that family. Soon you find yourself working and you become part of that family. Life is built around relationships. YOU were created to be in a relationship with God. Which means you are part of God's story. You are family! Yet you wonder why you feel alone and withdrawn. Life is falling down around you. But at the same time, you don't want to adopt God's expectations for your life. You live the way you feel and do what you want when you want. That way of living does not serve you as a Christian. God didn't give you suggestions to follow. He called you to rise higher to His expectations, not yours or the world's expectations. You are an overcome because God overcame the world. So don't try to talk yourself into some lie that you think you believe to be true. The world will trick you. So come as you are to God, for His arms are open wide. There you will find exactly what you need. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths." ~ Proverbs 3:5-6 Live like you belong to God. 2669 Live Like You Belong

Living out God's truth is challenging. But "for God alone, my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, for my hope is from Him." Between the kids, bills, social media reels and stories, pets, and hubby too, how can anyone find time to be still? The last couple of days has been very full and productive. So much to the point, I can't tell you what really happened. All I know is I didn't sit down except to drive from point A to point B. Yet there was one specific moment. Dusk quickly ended the afternoon, leaving me wondering what to fix for dinner for the family and guests at home. My husband and I returned a borrowed car because ours was stolen. This sweet couple lent us the car to use during the week.&nbsp; As I sat in my vehicle waiting for hubby to return the keys and car, the leaves on the trees became so still. The heat of over 100 degrees and high humidity left me in a gaze wondering if the trees were hot too. As soon as the thought crossed my mind, the wind picked up causing the leaves to blow. But not just in any way. This one particular tree with leaves bigger than my hand started to move to the west soon wrapping the tree in the wind. Literally, section by section began to move in slow motion. I felt like I was watching the wave at a football game in the stands. I could see each leaf blow and then the wind continued to move in a counterclockwise direction. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would have questioned the story too. My heart and mind were enthralled by the smooth movement.&nbsp; Even in the heat, the wind was still there. Even in your chaos, God is still there. But most of the time, we miss His presence because of our own chaos.&nbsp; The K.I.S.S. ~ My soul waits in silence!   I couldn't have been more grateful for those few minutes my husband was parking the car and returning the keys to be reminded in the middle of the mess that God is always present. I just had to slow down enough to wait in silence. "For God alone, my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, for my hope is from Him." ~ Psalm 62:5 (AMP) "Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him." ~ Psalm 62:5 (NIV) What are you trying to bully yourself through during your days? What are you caught up in that you refuse to let go of? You can continue to push through every day, or you can give up to God. The faith is in the lack of details. You may want all the answers, because our earthly logic requires are brain to know the solution to feel confident.&nbsp; However, God does not work in that manner. He asks you to move and walk through the door. He didn't ask for your questions; He desires your faith. How far are you willing to let God lead? As the wave of leaves calmed no more than a minute, my heart was filled with gratitude. God orchestrated each opportunity as we navigated through the stolen vehicle. Now, we still don't have a new vehicle for my husband. But what we do have is exactly what we need to get everyone where they need to go every day. And for a family our size, that's saying a ton. Don't think your plans are going to work just because they make sense to you. God's blueprint is always better. Be still your soul and wait in silence. Every day ready your senses to elevate your marriage. The more senses you engage, the greater love grows. You just ain't seen nothing yet until your senses get it too. You want to lock in all the memories, but busyness takes over the mind, and soon you are frazzled.&nbsp; Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at .    Everything begins to meld together. You don't know if you're coming or going. The memories fade more quickly, and soon you wonder what happened upon reflection. Relationships require connection, especially marriages. You can't think hangin' out, makin' dinner, and cleanin' the house will improve your marriage, and it may work a little. Who doesn't want a clean home and a full tummy? But what you and your spouse need are the firey moments, the ones that matter most (which you should remember.&nbsp; True connection with your spouse comes when you savor the moments. The K.I.S.S. ~&nbsp; Savor the moments!   This comes from all of your senses; see, smell, hear, taste, and touch (feel). However, as easy as it sounds, captivating your senses can be challenging. It takes work to zone in on what matters to you and your spouse. So when you savor the moments, you activate your senses. What are your senses going to remember?  SEE. Look at the colors, the landscape, and the environment around you. Notice the clothes and expressions that pop for you. SMELL. What scents wake up your nose? What about the cologne/perfume? If you're eating at a restaurant or on the beach, what tingled your nose? HEAR. What do the crickets sing in the moonlight? Or are they? What song do you attach to the moment? TASTE. Here you can combine taste and texture for your mouth. So that can involve many areas. How did the food taste? What's your favorite dessert? TOUCH. How did you feel? What gave you those goosebumps?  And I want you to think about this. Not all senses you remember will be positive, and you may have some negative ones attached to the moment. But that's okay.&nbsp; The key is committing to your spouse's presence to love deeper. CHALLENGE: Look for an opportunity to activate your senses and practice that engagement. Maybe it's during your night of intimacy. Maybe it's at your child's wedding or game or dance recital.&nbsp; CAUTION: Not all senses will be used when you savor the moments. But that doesn't mean you have to ignore the moment. Keep to the challenge and press forward. 2752 You Just Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

Daily responsibilities and busyness can keep you running in circles. So when it's time to be present with your spouse, you are thinking about what's left to do. You're no fun to be around. Have you ever heard that spoken to you? Maybe in the middle of an argument. Or you being crabby because you've had a bad day. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at .    Well, that was said to me recently by my sweetheart. Little did he know how it would strike a chord with me. My initial response was, "I have a lot going on."&nbsp; He quickly interjected, "And so do I. But that doesn't mean you have to act the way you are. You're just no fun to be around." Really?!? There are more days that I can count where you not being fun to be around.&nbsp; This is real-life stuff. And not something we want to discuss.&nbsp; But today, we are setting the stage. What would your response have been if it was your sweetheart making that statement to you? You probably would have become defensive. How many times do you get a pass on your attitude? Life isn't fair, which means there are times you have to pick your battles. The K.I.S.S. ~ Pick your battles!   Sometimes the fight is not worth the cost of your time. So don't get all riled up for no reason.  LET GO of the stuff that doesn't matter. In the moment my husband made that comment, I was flustered because I had not finished parking the vehicle faster. He wanted to eat and not a second later. So he got fussy with me.&nbsp; LOOK for the good. Instead of listening to all the bickering, focus on the good. See what you can salvage in the moment. LOVE unconditionally. You have to overlook the silliness of the moment. Lay down the red carpet and walk away. There's always going to be someone who doesn't see your worth. Don't let it be you. Continue the search for more as you explore who you are becoming.&nbsp; When was the last time the thought of "I'm not enough" crossed your mind? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at .    Unfortunately, those who want to impact the world they touch fall into this self-sabotage too easily.&nbsp; In fact, I believe we are stricken with this reflection multiple times when we look in the mirror.&nbsp; And what happens when you find yourself here? What is your internal conversation? What whispers are you yelling to yourself over and over again? It's next to impossible to do what you were created to do if you run yourself in circles of disbelief, entangling your confidence in failures, and trash-talking who you are becoming.&nbsp; What more are you searching for?&nbsp;  More meaning More money More power More influence More things More children More positions More grace More forgiveness More beauty More knowledge More leadership More accolades  More of what are you in search of? You can't do what you were called to do, what you were created to do, if you keep hanging out with your destructive self. At some point, you have give up to get out. The K.I.S.S. ~ G.I.V.E. up to get out!   Look through the lens of tenacity. 1. GRACE - Live by the grace that God gives you. You are not doing life alone. So why keep trying to do it your way? Do it God's way. 2. ILLUMINATE - You have got to put to bed the lies and reveal the truths. When you let your light shine, using your gifts and talents, you don't have to force anything. You work within your zone of genius. You do what God created you to do. Let your light shine! 3. VACATE - You can't get out if you're not willing to give up. So vacate the premises that do not serve you. Change your thoughts to change your mind. Replace the whispers that cut you down and destroy your confidence with encouraging words and phrases. What you think about, you bring about. So vacate where you should not live in your mind. 4. ENRICH - Surround yourself with wise counsel. Walk with the wise and become wise. (Proverbs 13:20) Read what challenges you emotionally, physically, spiritually, and relationally. Ground yourself with wisdom.&nbsp;  Give up to get out!  Life is a beautiful thing. Look for opportunities amongst the obstacles.  The search for more starts within.  Don't try and be someone you're not. Hang on to what matters. Don't let your heart be trampled by your own whispers. The first step in handling anger effectively is to recognize and acknowledge its presence. Action Steps: - Self-reflection: Take time to reflect on personal triggers and patterns of anger. This self-awareness will enable you to communicate your feelings and needs more effectively. - Seek feedback: Engage in open and honest conversations with your spouse about how each of you experiences and expresses anger. During these times of doubt and uncertainty, shame covers the heart, and hope is diminished.&nbsp; But why do you hide? God is always by your side. I wanted to take a moment to encourage you in your faith journey, especially during times of doubt and uncertainty. When you have new seasons, that creates a discomfort that sets you off balance. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at . &nbsp;   It is essential to remember that God is not threatened by your unbelief or your questions. In fact, He desires to see you grow and be set free from every captive thought that prevents you from experiencing His truth and love. In moments when darkness seems overwhelming, and struggles persist, know that Jesus stands ever-present, ready to walk with you toward the light of His truth. He understands your questions, your doubts, and your fears. He doesn't want you to isolate yourself or carry the weight of unbelief on your own. Instead, He invites you to offer up everything to Him, including disappointment, questions, and fears, as a holy sacrifice. The K.I.S.S. ~ Why do you hide? Remember, simply relying on self-effort won't resolve unbelief. It is through surrendering your doubts and fears to Jesus that you make room for His truth to settle deep within your heart. By trusting in His love and seeking His guidance, you can find peace and reassurance, even in the midst of uncertainty. It is important to remember the assurance we find in God's Word. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This verse reminds us that we can trust in God's faithfulness, even when we don't fully understand everything. My dear friend, hold on to hope and continue seeking God's truth. He will never leave you because of your questions. Instead, He desires to walk with you, guide you, and help you grow in your faith. First off, it's important to understand that skill is not simply a product of human effort; it is a gift from God. Furthermore, Scripture emphasizes the role of God as our ultimate source of strength. Philippians 4:13 13&nbsp;I can do all things&nbsp;through&nbsp;Christ who strengthens me. You are to rely on God's power, not rest in your own strength. So, in situations where more strength is needed, you can trust in God's provision and find comfort in the knowledge that He will equip you for success. By surrendering your life to God and submitting your desires and plans to His will, you place yourself in a position to receive His guidance, wisdom, and strength. Imagine this: you're sitting at a picturesque café, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air, and a gentle breeze tickling your skin. As the world around you buzzes with life, you find yourself lost in a sea of thoughts, worries, and regrets. Because unfortunately, we proudly wear our busy badge of honor, as if filling our lives with countless commitments and a surplus of stuff thinking that somehow it equates to success and fulfillment. Sometimes, in the shadows of doubt and darkness, we long for a moment of renewal and transformation that brightens every corner of our being. Embrace the total eclipse of the heart. Yesterday, we witnessed the total solar eclipse, where the moon momentarily totally obscured the sun, casting a veil of darkness. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at . &nbsp;   How much of our own lives are overshadowed by darkness, by self-doubt and negative thoughts that plague our minds? "I'm not enough."&nbsp; "I'll never amount to anything." "Why me?" Do these phrases sound familiar? Do they hit too close to home, perhaps even bringing tears to your eyes? But amidst the darkness, we must remember – at the end of each eclipse, there is light. What is your light in the darkness? Who is your beacon of hope when all seems lost? As we search for answers, we must remember that even in the darkest moments, there is a glimmer of light waiting to break through. In the midst of cloudy skies and rain, I stood waiting for the solar eclipse to reveal itself. Despite the obstacles, when the time came, the clouds shifted, the wind intensified, and the rain fell harder. It was a reminder that even when we can't see the light, it is there, waiting to shine through. Just as the total solar eclipse was a celestial event beyond our control, so too is the transformation of our hearts not solely our doing, but a divine work. We long for a different life, a new self, a soul on fire – and that journey begins with a total eclipse of the heart. "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10) With faith and belief, we can invite God to provide that total eclipse of the heart, to shine His light into the darkest corners of our souls, reminding us that with Him, all things are possible. How fast did you tear into all those presents under the tree? All the preparation and hard work gone so quickly while rushing through to get to the next best thing. Slow down and be brave with your heart! The New Year is around the corner and taking this time of pause in your life to reflect and inspire your heart to impact. Give yourself permission to not only experience the moments, but be enveloped with the good and the bad. You will fall down, bruise an ego. 1081 Be Brave with Your Heart!

If you are wanting to get healthy or lose weight, do calories count? The answer no one wants to hear; yes and no! Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT.&nbsp;http://facebook.com/groups/thewomenofimpact Yes calories count. And no, calories do not count.&nbsp; It all depends on you.  Your lifestyle. What you are eating. How you are expending and using the energy.  The way your fuel your lifestyle, the activities throughout the day, and your make-up (genetics, hormones, metabolism) all has an impact on how your calories are used. Being precise, one dietary calorie is the amount of energy needed to raise one kilogram of water one degree Celsius. Now that doesn't help us when reading labels and trying to be healthy daily. Our kitchens are not a science laboratory. But you have to understand, that calories are either used as fuel or stored as fat. PERIOD! Calories do not melt away when you don't need them. You ingest them, your body responds by either storing them or using them. You have to understand that calories do count in your life. Instead of asking, "do calories count", ask it this way: How do you eat so calories are working for you, not against you?&nbsp; You don't want to make food the enemy. It's fuel for your body, but it's not all treated equally. So if you want to be healthy....  The K.I.S.S. ~ F.U.E.L. your body with what it needs! If God made it, you can eat it! The portions will vary for each individual. There is not a one size fits all. And let those processed foods go too. Understand, this whole idea of eating so many calories a day is best, really is only based on an average. And most of us do not fit in the average!  Proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. You want to have a good source of protein as protein builds muscle. Fats are good for you too. Carbohydrates should come from God's food basket. Hydrate with lots of water. Intentional movement (fitness and exercise). Restoration and relaxation for your mind, body, and spirit.  "Don't let calories scare you away from living the life God designed for you. 1159 Do Calories Count?

Detox is an action that can impact your health and wellness for the better. The question remains though. Is it time for a detox? You might have heard of drinking these awful concoctions that make you visit the bathroom way too often in a day. Or taking something out of your diet to clean it up. Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at&nbsp;Women of IMPACT.&nbsp;http://facebook.com/groups/thewomenofimpact Maybe juice cleanses, Whole30, or even drinking bone broth might be your go to.&nbsp; Some of the detoxes out there are more appealing than others. Who really wants to drink something that looks like mud? With a world that is growing ever more toxic, detoxing is very much a concern when it comes to optimal health and wellness.&nbsp; Regardless of what types of detoxes are available, the real question remains.&nbsp; Is it time for a detox? Listen to your body! It's telling you secrets. The K.I.S.S. ~ Listen to your body! It's telling you secrets. If you are experiencing any of these, it's a good time for you to start considering a detox, researching it, and doing it properly. When you do a detox, you want to make sure the reason behind what you're doing. Also, you need to be aware to how your body responds in certain circumstances. Caution Flag: Enter at your own risk and be wise. Do your research and understand the detox process for you specifically. Seek professional counsel and guidance when it comes to making any health and wellness decision. What are the situations that would constitute you doing a detox? 1. Digestion Complication(s)&nbsp; Diarrhea, bloating, constipation, and gas. These things are not normal if everything is working properly. Plus, they're uncomfortable and a little embarrassing. Hit the reset button. Detox and give your gut a break! 2. Sugar cravings OFTEN! When you constantly have insatiable cravings, this is a&nbsp;humongous sign that something is not right with your body! If you are eating a lot of processed foods, you can mess up your blood sugar and leptin hormones. You are on a roller coaster of a ride searching for more what? JUNK!! When you do a detox focusing on REAL foods (God made it, you can eat it), then it allows your body to heal from the inside out and reset itself. 3. Regularly occurring seasonal allergies Think of this more as sinus related. Your gut health (your microbiome) has an effect on your immune system. If one is weak, typically the other is weak too.&nbsp; 4. Feel yucky even when eating healthy No matter how clean you eat, your body can benefit from taking a break (or detox) from your "norm". Eliminating certain foods for a period of time. This allows your body to rest and repair.&nbsp; 5. Blemishes One way our body shows build up of toxins is how it appears on our skin. Your skin being the largest organ of the body, you have to know that what you put in and on your body affects your performance of your skin. We sweat through our skin ridding it of toxins. It's an inside outside effect.&nbsp; 6. Persistent fatigue You're always tired and it doesn't make sense as to why. It can be a problem with how your body is communicating between the brain and the adrenal glands (adrenal fatigue). You can have increased cortisol levels due to stress, inflammations, gut issues, and&nbsp; toxins. 7. Foggy and Groggy&nbsp; You have a difficult time focusing. Some call it brain fog. You want to flush out the toxins in the hypothalamus to relieve that oxidative stress.&nbsp; 8. Consistent ongoing joint pain If you are waking up feeling achey like you ran a marathon, but you haven't done anything close to that (your muscles are stiff and sore), this is a good indication of inflammation. When life is filled with more negativity, grandioso highlight reels, and comments that cut to the core, you have to learn how to stay positive. This world is not fair, but it still can be a beautiful journey through all the mess. Join us at Women of IMPACT.&nbsp;http://facebook.com/groups/thewomenofimpact Staying positive doesn't always mean you are the happy-go-lucky, smiley person with not a care in the world.&nbsp; When you can see through the mess that clouds your mindset, it opens the doors to positivity, something greater than what is happening at that moment. Because in the moment, you could be drowning in the chaos with all hope being stripped from every breath you take. Yet we must remember that nothing crumbles in a day. How to stay positive gives you a lifeline to look just beyond the mess and climb out of the deep set darkness that envelops your hope. Revolutionary? Not really. Just a mindset shift. But this mindset shift isn't common practice. Instead we sit with our mess and chaos allowing ourselves to be drawn deeper into the swells of disappointment, failure, and fear. The happy-go-lucky person, who seems to have it all together, has struggles and troubles too. But what gives them the advantage? How to stay positive!&nbsp; "I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet." ~ Gandhi We let the dirt cloud the nooks and crannies of any hope that remains from the fails of our own. We focus on what we can't do. We strain to hold back tears for what is lost. You want the advantage? Optimism is a game-changer! Is it real? YES!! Take it and live it! The K.I.S.S. ~ Live a positive optimistic life! Let us not become weary in doing good,&nbsp;for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. ~ Galatians 6:9 When you give up, you nourish the negativity. You feed it and feed upon it. It becomes your normal.&nbsp; However, if you desire to experience life more abundantly, you have to change the perspective in how you live it. So how do you live a positive optimistic life; how do you stay positive? 1. Talk more, listen less. Talk more from the optimistic point of view. Drown out the negative whispers and yells. You have to stop being the cheerleader of negativity. I read a post this weekend on Facebook, and it read, "I was just in the women’s bathroom, and had to listen to a mom yelling at her early elementary aged kid for losing a wrestling match. He sat on the bathroom floor and cried as she berated him." Maybe you were that little kid who was yelled at by your parents for not being good enough. Maybe you were that little kid who was yelled at by your husband, your boss, your teacher, even a stranger. You can't let negative whispers and yells diminish your worth. 2. Speak truth to the lies.&nbsp; There is no reason to encourage lies to grow bigger. Thorns hurt, but roses bloom above the pain. Let the truth set you free from the lies that try to trample you. If someone calls you fat, speak truth to that lie. I am strong and courageous. Truth overcomes lies! 3. Love more, fear less.&nbsp; Love conquers fear.&nbsp; Armor yourself with the truth of God's love, grace, and mercy. When you are at battle with the negativity, love more in the moment. You are twisting fear; it becomes less than not greater than. "Being a positive influencer, a positive leader isn't just a state of mind, but a state of action. In all you do, TAKE AIM!!!" In your day, think about what you focus on. The goals. The to-do list. The appointments. The phone calls. The errands. The bills. The laundry. The dishes. The dinner. It's all about the WHAT in your day. You get caught up in the what and forget your WHY!&nbsp; You are created on purpose with greatness! Wash your feet and don't drag yourself through the mud.
