Futureboogie maintain their fine tradition of the ‘Summer Riot’ EPs with the fifth installment this month, and a collection of on point tracks that will keep the embers of summer burning, courtesy of four very talented producers.

As one half Futureboogie regulars, PBR Streetgang, Bonar Bradberry also carves out some very tasty productions in his solo capacity, having delivered classy releases for Needwant, Gomma and 20/20 Vision over the years.  ‘Analogue Express’ is a sleek and sophisticated slice of transcendental disco vibes…

Italian disco aficionado, DJ Rocca, steps up with a stellar contribution in ‘Voodoo’.  Having collaborated with the likes of Dimitri From Paris and Daniele Baldelli, and released on imprints such as El Diablo’s Social Club, Gomma and his own Danny Was A Drag King label, Rocca presents a sublime piece of deep and ritualistic house music for Summer Riot V.

Steve Cobby comes with an impressive CV that takes in producer extraordinaire (one half of Fila Brazillia amongst many other aliases and projects) and label owner (Pork Recordings/Twentythree/Steel Tiger).  ‘Lefthanded Books’ is a lustrous vocal track featuring the familiar and exceptional voice of Danielle Moore from Crazy P, resplendent with jazzy stabs and reverberating chords, a real polished production from Steve here.

And completing this year’s set; fresh talent from the UK, Field Theory.  A splendid chugging acid number, reminiscent of those early 90s sunrise tunes that always hold that bewitching atmosphere to them, ‘Rituals’ most defiantly continues this theme and sounds utterly fresh at the same time.
