It Won't Be

It's been a long time. I've taken a year off to properly learn production and you know what, it was pretty fun! Met a lot of cool fellow musicians as well.

This is a song I actually wrote for a songwriting competition at the school: we had an hour to write a song and we were giving lyrics from another song: Black Friday from Steely Dan. I actually finished the song pretty easily: took me about 15 minutes but the production was the hard part, took me sometime and a few remakes to get to this version. Enjoy!

Black Friday

Hey, this is a song I started writing in February: had the 2 first verses in the bag and the chorus was originally instrumental. Eventually, I added a chorus and bridge thx to some advice from my cool teachers and this little song turned into something way bigger.

 It's titled Elliott Smith because it sounds like he could have written it if he was obsessed with Western movies lol
