Emerging from the shadows of his former alias, **Mono Code** (formerly known as Deft Design) delivers his transformative debut EP on Cimmerian Records. Strasbourg’s 140bpm Alchemist Returns with a Deep Dive into Psychedelic Dub Realms.
For over a decade now, Strasbourg’s ADS1 has operated like a mythic figure in the French 140 bpm underground—part dubstep scholar, part bass sorcerer. Known for his meticulous sound design and an ear permanently tuned to the deepest corners of sound system culture, the DJ/producer has quietly built a reputation among connoisseurs of sub-heavy music. His new EP, a four-track release that feels as much like a short story collection as it does a club record, sees him both refining and subverting his own formula—drawing from hip-hop, Eastern instrumentation, and pure psychedelic experimentation.
