A delegation of health policymakers from the 49 communities of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation​ in Ontario concluded their visit to Chisasibi on Wednesday afternoon. Chief Davey Bobbish and former Chief Violet Napash joined Cree Health Board senior management for a morning of presentations and discussions. Daniel Rodrique of the CNC led a guided bus tour of the community, with a stop at Ouwah Store to pick up souvenirs. It was a very productive exchange on both sides about the challenge of decolonizing health and social services in First Nations communities

COVID19 Update from CBHSSJB - March 4, 2020

CBHSSJB Chairperson Bella Moses Petawabano provided an update on regional radio JBCCS  about confirmation that one of our clients, a patient in Montreal for medical treatment, tested positive for COVID-19.  The patient has not recently been in the Eeyou Istchee territory. They have been transferred to a Montreal hospital for treatment.
