Battle theme for BETTRYU: the CH3 Secret Boss.
Upon reaching the end of the mirror maze, you come across them, and they beg RALSEI and SUSIE to join their team, and after they reject them, Bettryu attacks.
Perspective in the battle is flipped, and YOU are on the "Enemy" side.
Red soul boss: If you don't have the shadowmantle, their attacks have a draining poison effect.

Lore is that they are the RED HORNS.
Tangled with the flowers in the GARBAGE, after being abandoned by Kris, they fell from stardom in NIGHTWORLD.
After this, a strange new friend came to them, speaking of a person who had dropped them from the light.
After finding out of the world outside, Bettryu devoted their entire existence to replacing Kris and taking their rightful place in the LW.

They represent Kris's idealised self;
A Boss Monster, Stronger, Faster, CONFIDENT, PERFECT, BETTER.
But due to the influence of the MYSTERIOUS STRANGER, Bettryu also embodies Kris's dysphoria, bullying and hating them for not being perfect.

To envy them for their SOUL ?
