On 11th November DJ, producer and Hotflush label head Paul Rose is bringing his SCB alias back to the label with new single ‘Rope’ / ‘Technique’. This will be followed by the worldwide release of ‘Update’ in December after its US release earlier this year, compiling a selection of material from Scuba’s burgeoning discography as it looks in 2013.

On the new single, Rose delivers two deep, dark and meticulously honed dance floor productions as SCB. ‘Rope’ is led by its focused percussive drive, letting layers of twisted ambience and decaying synth stabs wrap themselves around the nuanced rhythmic evolution as it penetrates the ether. On the flip, ‘Technique’ offers a looser counterpart as Rose offsets the shuffling groove against the mesmeric swing of the chords that lap against it.

The new single is the latest in a series of SCB releases this year, including original production ‘Dissipate’, which featured on the Nonplus ‘Think And Change’ compilation, and remixes for Jimmy Edgar, Arkist and Wraetlic, which Rose has dropped around a busy touring calendar, packed Hotflush release schedule and remixes of Jimmy Edgar and CLOSE as Scuba.

On 2nd December, Hotflush Recordings will then present the worldwide release of their first album compiling a retrospective of Scuba's productions, titled 'Update'. Here old and new fans alike will have the opportunity to get there hands on 12 of the label head’s most critically acclaimed tracks, including music from each of his three albums to-date as well as select singles.

Men of the hour and part of the Endless Illusion crew from Prague joins RET with a 5 tracker ranging from Electro to wave-ish Techno. After releasing on labels like Midlight, Eidectic and more recent Brokntoys Ladislav Zensor drops another fierce and well executed joint. The ep kicks off with an extended acid injected electro track called ''All Things Are Possible''. Second track ''Transgas'' continues this threatment for the A side. The flip has a more darker perspective with flanged hi hats and eerie atmosphere. ''Defenestrace'' contains a strange vox going over the track from the beginning, it then quickly gains power by its dubbed out framework. The days of EBM and newbeat comes to mind when we hear ''Straight Folded'' which sounds like its recorded straight on a tape in the mid 80's. Last not least ''Very Fake News'' closes things of, with a driving kick-bassline and shattering snares causing pleasure on the dancefloor. Dark days are coming towards us.

These times where everything occurs so fast is really difficult to make a pause and with calm try to understand what you have in front of you.

Just for the simple fact you are reading about this new project, we want to thank you, so thank you very much for supporting this project, we really appreciate you put some of your time reading and listen about it.

This is an epic crusade that simply wants to show in all its splendor what it means for many of us such an eroded term but as beautiful as it is the word "underground".

For many of us, this music represents values that we would like to see more often, values that we want (and we need) to be reflected in future generations.

Now that everyone talks about our music is easy to read here and there things like "...electro music is very limited ... sounds always the same"... These words really hurts many of us, the many we love, and we know in depth what electro music is, because electro music is just the opposite, it is a very diverse and rich music, you can feel the pulse of electro in many compositions, thousands of tracks, even in ambient tracks with no beats.

For this reason we call this project ELECTRIC ECLECTICS

The support we received to our last projects, the 5th Anniversary 808 Box and Music For The Other People Place helped us to take more risk and decide to start with Electric Eclectics.

The foundations and the aim of this project is exactly the same of the 808 Box, but this time we want to put the light over some artists who helped to build and develop the sound of modern electro music, but also others that we consider the present and the future of our music, the Underground Electro Music.

This new box includes 21 high quality vinyl records, mastered and cut at 45rpm for the best sound and dynamics. Each of the first 18 records are dedicated to one artist, the other 2 are an advance of the second part of this project next year. The audio included here is about one/two minutes of all tracks included in each record... this is more than 3 hours... the total length of the 21 records is almost 9 hours of pure electro music.

Two pioneers of the international Techno scene joined forces as fighters of the sun for their 25th DJ anniversary. Following ‘Der Klang der Familie’, SUNFIGHTER is the second release on Dr. Motte’s label PRAXXIZ.

SUNFIGHTER can be described as the soundtrack of two DJ careers and as the reflection of their history of 25 years of Techno.

Motte about the track: ‘DJ Dag represents the Sound of Frankfurt like nobody else. The same applies for Dr. Motte being the representative of the sound of Berlin. In the studio we were extremely excited about finding out what can emerge when these two worlds collide. The result SUNFIGHTER is a wonderful symbiosis of both kinds of sounds and, from my point of view, exceeds expectations.’
