Jorja May is a local Gold Coast singer/ songwriter who recently moved to London but was born in the small town of Rockhampton in Central Queensland, Australia. She grew up listening to her fathers country music and has since then grown into a folk artist heavily influenced by country music. Although her sound doesn't scream “country”, she says her song writing reflects that of country music songwriters. 
She is fascinated by telling stories through music and says that telling stories about her experiences through her music is one of the greatest feelings.
