Cricket Captains are from Moscow, Russia. Forming in 2013, Mikhail, Mal and Yuriy were all students - the band threw themselves into playing pop-infused brand of indie rock. After two years of struggling to record, the band changed several musicians and shared their own rehearsal studio where all the songs came from. With Mikhail on vocal and guitar, Mal on bass, Yuriy on drums, Vladimir on lead guitar, Cricket Captains is a complete band chemistry. Without one of the four, the band wouldn't be the same. 
The band's debut album, Cyclone Party, displaying the band's footing in both an indie-rock and alternative. Most of the songs rely on pulsating rhythms and beautiful atmospheres made by guitars and synths. Cyclone Party LP is also built on a magnetic sense of optimism that's carried Cricket Captains from their formation in 2013 to their current status as a band on an ever-growing rise.
"All four of us have almost the same musical taste, and we wanted to tie in all the kinds of music that have inspired us throughout lives. We had a lot of fun and experiments."
The album is the whole and the parts at the same time. It's a crafted collection - song after song. 
Cricket Captains are renowned for their high-energy live shows that guarantee to get you dancing to their music. CC are inspired by their beautifully wasted youth, ways of thinking about a life in a space and mostly about time's rebound. 
Cricket Captains approaches being a band with a honesty that is rarely translated into popular music. They're just fully concerned with making the best music they can while staying true to who they are. "Cyclone Party" LP proves it.
