Following in the footsteps of the longed-for 2021 reissue of their seminal EP, ‘It’s The Life’, Detroit's very own guild of disco wizards Billy Lo - alias Billy Love, Darryl Tiggs and Darren Abrams - return to Cosmocities with their first album, ‘Billy Lo’. A flavorful bomb of soulful Motown aromas, Paradise Garage-esque suavity and shuffling house rhythms brought to a hedonistic simmer, the trio’s latest packs the kind of debonair charm and infectious funk that shall make as much damage on the dance floor as it will in the alcove.

The A-side starts off with ‘Pain’, a slice of satin-smooth house churn in true Detroit house style that engineers a fine euphony of classic piano twinkle, morning workout programming, stealth bass manoeuvres and shrill strings. The perfect scenery for Billy Love’s vocals to bloom in all their swinging sensuality. True to its name, the all-instrumental ‘Chill’ goes a further bass and drums-blazing route, all in generous synth sines and ovoid bounce, whereas ‘Let Ur Body Werk’ unfolds as a spirited, Afrofunk-tinged chugger bound for tireless boogie, focussing on Love's hypnotic vocal hoodoo, sturdy bass traction and a feast of incendiary congas sure to whip up the attendance into a frenzy at any time of the day. 

Flip it over and here’s the B-side up with some intoxicating jazz business for the late hours. Dishing out a fiery combo of space-discoid slap bass, sun-bleached piano chords and heavily filtered loops, ’Sho Me Ur Love’ is juicy entanglement in a bottle. All in slowed-down voluptuousness, the loungey bop number ‘Flavors’ reels out like a washed-out dream, vaporous and lush as it gets. Topping off the journey on a hi-NRG spin, ‘Do Ur Thang’ pulls out a playful collage of heavy-duty bass propulsion, obsessive synth motifs and ebullient pep talk sure to have you going hard all night long.

Driving forward from their recent EP ‘Killing With Kindness’ which received an array of solid reviews from leading publications worldwide, the duo are now proud to announce their latest release. Two upbeat, off-centre productions that truly captivates the sound of Catz ‘N Dogz.

The opening track entitled ‘The Joy’ is a perfect showcase of the duos intricate ability to produce a diverse range of dance music. The warming vocal melody layered on top of a down-tempo synth arrangement gently drives the production from start to finish. Following her release on Desert Hearts Records, Tini Gessler adds to her growing discography on respected labels, with her 'No Deeper Feeling' EP on German label, Kitball Records. Established in 2005 by Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora, Kitball has become renowned as a platform for top tier artists to release their productions on. One of the most successful tech-house labels of the last decade, Tini joins artists such as PAJI, Roger Sanchez, Purple Disco Machine, Cristoph and Illyus & Barrientos in releasing on the imprint.

With her reputation growing worldwide after a breakout year in 2019, Tini Gessler has developed solid roots within the underground house and techno community. Demonstrating her prowess in the booth, as a DJ she has graced esteemed clubbing institutions such as London's Studio 338 and Amnesia, Ushuaïa and Hï in Ibiza, as well as festivals including Tomorrowland and Sziget. As the new decade dawns, Tini has pushed her vision of house and techno, with strong melodic elements through a string of label releases on labels such as Steve Lawler's VIVa MUSiC, Flashmob Records and Great Stuff Recordings.

Tini's 'No Deeper Feeling' EP opens with big room anthem and title track 'No Deeper Feeling'. Aimed at the peak time club moments, the robust bassline and piano synths are built around a strong and soulful, female vocal. Meanwhile, 'Let's Dance' brings out a darker side to Tini's production ability, rolling bass layered with acid-inspired tones alongside an alluring vocal, add to the tracks mystique.
