South coast’s The Last Siren is the hard rock project of touring musician Jayke Turl. 

Recently signed to Criminal Records, TLS’s debut single ‘Fight’ paraded intensity and melancholy in equal proportions, with radio play currently spanning from Kerrang! Radio to KALX, USA.  'Crucify This' was added to the playlist of Amazing Radio UK and USA.

Electro pop artist Lori, recently signed to Criminal Records, has announced the release of her debut EP 'I'm Still Here' on Friday 3rd September.

The named track releases one week earlier, and has already been premiered on BBC Radio London this week.  The single speaks to those fighting through turbulent periods of low mental health.  Eloquently emotive & poptastically infectious, 'I'm Still Here' hits you right in the feels.

Influenced by Foxes, La Roux, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga and Phoebe Bridgers, Lori’s recent singles 'Release Me' and 'Harlequin' have also dazzled her existing fanbase and amassed major national radio. British solo artist The Kut has announced a US distribution deal with Amplified, for her hotly anticipated second album and a forthcoming video single ANIMO. 

Meaning ‘courage’ or ‘spirit’, ANIMO and the accompanying music video are out on 15th November and are funded by Arts Council England. Dubbed by NYC Takeover as ‘the revolution waiting to erupt’ the latest Kut is fierce; pepper sprayed with haunting melodies, driving beats and unapologetically packed with grrrl power.

Written in support of recent womens’ rights demonstrations in the UK, the single is the first of a series of releases, leading up to The Kut second album, due June 2022. 

The album features all seven members of her collective of women in music, with ANIMO featuring Diana Bartmann (drums), Jennifer Sanin (bass/vocals) and Alison Wood (guitar/bass) performing alongside The Kut.

The US deal, which also signed The Kut’s Criminal Records label, moves their US ops to a 700,000 sq ft. US warehouse, backed by Alliance and in partnership with AMPED. Bringing her into an impressive US roster that includes Kobalt, Death Row, Pias, Epitaph, Chrysalis, Nuclear Blast, Papa Roach, Arlo Parks, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Larkin Poe, Blink 182, Frank Turner and Die Antwoord.

The Kut’s debut album ‘Valley of Thorns’ was produced by James LeRock Loughrey (Skindred, White Zombie, Bjork) and spent two weeks in the UK Rock Albums Chart (No.7) and No. 18 in the Independent Albums Chart. The album was released on Cargo Records, who stay on as the UK & Europe distributor.

Her latest single hit the UK Sales Chart on Christmas Day (No.65) and spent four weeks in the Physical Chart (No.10).  These releases have spawned significant interest in the UK and USA, including major support from Kerrang!, BBC Introducing, Total Rock, Hard Rock Hell, Planet Rock, Metal Hammer, Sirius XM, AAA, College stations, with music videos selected for playlist by MTV, LATV, AXSTV & Music Choice.

With tours in eight countries and performances at Download, Rebellion, Camden Rocks and BBC Introducing Stages, The Kut returned to live post-lockdown, headlining the River Stage at Isle of Wight Festival. The event was followed by the announcement of a long awaited forthcoming single, ‘ANIMO’.

The Kut (PhD) is a British Multi-Instrumentalist. Her sophomore album “GRIT” is the musical amalgamation of the journey so far. Nina West is an Australian/British 21-year-old multi-instrumentalist and song writer. Her love of music began early, with her playing piano and singing at age 3 and picking up the saxophone as a second instrument at 11.  

She has since become an accomplished player; Nina is a Grade 8 classical and jazz pianist, Grade 5 jazz saxophonist and Grade 8 vocalist with musical theatre/west training.

Graduating from BIMM London with a Bachelor of Music this year, she is now releasing her first single ‘Trouble’.

“Trouble is a song I wrote during a very dark and traumatic experience that went on to affect every aspect of my life. The lyrics are about how I ignored the red flags and the deep pain this person caused me.”

A song in the works for over 2 years, ‘Trouble’ is produced by Steven Spence and features Nick Barrenechea-Arando on guitar, with Nina playing piano, alto saxophone, bass and vocals.

Argonaut are a London indie band with a love for DIY fuzzy pop and wonky analogue synths. The latest single ‘The Vulnerables’ is the second official release from their open-ended album ‘Songs From The Black Hat’ – a rehearsal ritual that’s led them to creating an impressive stream of demos since the start of the year.

Nathan explains “At band practices we each write song titles on slips of paper & put them in the hat. One is then picked at random. We jam around that title & see what alchemy occurs. Most times the magic flows & the combined band chemistry creates something we are really pleased with.”

With two previous albums on Criminal Records, Argonaut’s newest release is produced by Jack Ashley of Popes Of Chillitown, and mastered by The Kut who was drummer/producer on Argonaut’s self-titled debut.

A glam tinged indie-pop celebration of the sensitive souls who refuse to stay silent, the single is inspired by the likes of Bowie, T-Rex, Suede and Manic Street Preachers. It features recent release ‘Move Fast’ as track two, channelling Gen X Silicon Valley sloganeering, 1980s pop-synths & nineties noise, following the adventures of wannabe Microserfs in an office pod near you!

The Exits – Biography

With their eclectic mix of electro-indie-rock, the band focus on driving beats, pumped up bass that synths and guitar building up their dance sound. Ray’s lead vocal is intense with an indelibly coarse edge.  On the back of their first release, The Exits signed a deal with MTV to feature the bands new track on the forthcoming series of Dirty Sanchez. In addition, the single received 7 digital track of the week (No. 2 in their charts) and TV coverage on Sky channels.

‘The Exits’ EP was met with excellent reviews and radio support, including BBC London, Radio 1 Northern Ireland, Kerrang Radio (ones to watch), while the band also picked up a music award for ‘Best Song’ as well as ‘Sexiest Male Vocal’ from their hometown radio station, Express FM. It all seemed to be going so well for the Portsmouth band, but suddenly within band issues led to arguments that would cause the band to take a break. This was a break that would span for almost 2 years. The album was put on hold.

Finally, things began to turn themselves in 2013, when the band solidly reunited and got back into the studio. Having now completed their debut album, things have never looked so positive for The Exits. With label, Criminal Records, always supporting the band from the wings, it is with great anticipation that the band will finally reveal their scene debut in December 2014.

Liliths Army release new a brand new single Eat My TV today - their first offering from forthcoming long player, Doll.

Our best guess is that this power trio are not enjoying the terrestrial channels in Northamptonshire, as this lo-fi ditty is an amusing swipe at the “endless drivel on TV” set to the familiar tones of UK punk.

The 13-track album, dropping later this month on Criminal Records, is a blend of grunge and prog rock “for fans of Nirvana, L7, Lush, Vampyre Heart, Elastic and Space Parasites” with fan goodies such as 100 Limited Edition 12”s up for grabs.

The Kut Announces Uplifting New Single Sevens

Following her UK Number 1 rock album GRIT, The Kut returns this summer with a new single, Sevens.

The drop precedes festival appearances at Isle of Wight, Glastonbury and Green Gathering, revealing a fresh, uplifting direction in her evolving repertoire.

Sonically soaring and expansive, Sevens meshes euphoric electronic house with driving rock bass. It’s a track that feels like a summer festival, and glides into new musical territory for the British multi-instrumentalist.

Released via Criminal Records label, Sevens hints at a new chapter in The Kut’s genre-spanning sound, or at least tests the waters towards that on the summer stage.

Born and raised in the city of London, Dany Blake is a UK rapper who made his entrance to the music scene with his 2022 debut EP, No Hand Outs (Vol. I).

Nina West is an Australian/British 21-year-old Jazz multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. 

Her love of music began early, with her playing piano and singing at age 3 and picking up the saxophone as a second instrument at 11. 

She has since become an accomplished player; Nina is a Grade 8 Classical and Jazz pianist, Grade 5 Jazz saxophonist and Grade 8 vocalist.

As a new artist finder her feet in London, Nina's debut single 'Trouble' became a sad anthem for 2024, achieving editorial playlist including Best of Jazz UK 2024, Fresh Finds UK & IE, Jazz UK, Fine Jazz, The Nightbus on Spotify.  

“I wrote Trouble during a very dark & traumatic experience that went on to affect every aspect of my life. It’s about how I ignored the red flags & the deep pain this person caused me.”

Her latest single 'Here & Now' is a reflection, moving on from the heartbreak, of her finding a voice to express the unanswered questions, while processing the advice that was given to her. 

Since then Neens has headed back to Australia and documented some of that move on her TikTok, gaining 100k likes and even getting 12 million views on one video comparing British and Australian trains.
