Following the most exciting destination wedding on top of a pyramid deep within the jungles of Mexico, Aimee Slaughter suddenly became inspired with a song in her head that needed to be created! This song was created during the Covid epidemic, where everything including all party spots in the world were shut down. Everywhere but Tulum. It was an iconic spot for world travelers to retreat, listen to amazing music and recharge their spirits during the darkest of times. Cerrado, means 'closed' in spanish which is the lyrical foundation and inspiration of the tune! The original is a slamming, sub bass driven house stomper with electro vibes produced by close friend Evan Gamble Lewis and remixed by close friend + their wedding officiator Andrez, which is a super slick latin house vibe take on the basslectro stomper! The project was a wrap... that is, until a surprise remix by one of Aimee's favorite DJ/Producers DJ Trashy showed up and added a bangin' breaks remix to really make this release one for the books! Incredibly fun times were had during the creation of this project and it is also the reason why Electron Galaxy Loop started... To release this track for and with our friends. Big Love!

"For this mix I wanted to capture the essence of my time living and DJing in the Bay Area.  It was my objective to travel through the many different genres and sub-genres that influenced me during my time in this extraordinary scene.  The DJ mixes I grew up listening to in the late 90’s early 2000’s took the listener on a journey through valleys and peaks, time and space and left the listener feeling satisfied.   That was my intention with this mix and as you will experience, the mix is an adventure and a trip through Psy Tech, Progressive House, Electro House, Tech House, BREAKS, Future House, Bass House and even ends with some Glitch.
