i gotta stop doing this.

i heard this song for the first time on march 18th. by the turn of midnight, i had the first 2 drops done. by around noon on march 19th, i had finished the last drop, and today, on march 20th, i'm putting it up on soundcloud. don't expect this to happen every year lol

i've dedicated the last drop to one of my dear friends, who, despite having to entirely upend her life and move to another state entirely, and despite all that she's dealing with, simply keeps going. after reading through a recent update she posted on her life, i couldn't not think of her when hearing "goodbye, old life" over and over again. that might be part of why that last drop is so extremely over the top but hey, what she's accomplished is way more than one would imagine after all so it fits. you have no idea how inspiring your story is so far juni, you got this. <3

I'm finally back to releasing music. This is my first song in over a year and I am so happy to finally get it out into the world. I started it as something to sort of showcase the new techniques I had been learning at the time & to experiment with some new things. That was two years ago. Oxygen

I came up with the idea for this song nearly 3 years ago after I heard You Make Me by Avicii and tried to make a piano pattern similar to the one in that song. Over the years I've kept ditching and coming back to this track until recently I sent it to some friends for feedback and they convinced me to release it, so here we are.

Fusion

This song started around 2 years ago, with a verse and drop I made but had no idea what to do with, so I sent it to Ten Foot Circle to see what he thought. That same day, he wrote and recorded the lyrics you hear in the song and sent them to me. As soon as I heard it, lights went off in my mind and I immediately had a rush of ideas and I spent hours creating them.

That’s not where it ended though, or else this song would’ve come out a year ago. After a few months of working on the song, I had an idea for a guitar part, so I wrote it and played it with a virtual guitar. It sounded super weak to me so I enlisted the help of my friend David to play the part on a real guitar. After that and some minor tweaks here and there, we have the song you’re currently listening to.

Then one day, David came in again with an incredible lyric video and the cover art for the song, really tying the whole project together.
