My second collab with wonderfully gifted singer Tyla Raé from London. „Like a Rose“ is a soulful R&B love song and a duet with a Rhodes piano solo in it. With Tyla's beautiful voice backing me, I finally dared to sing, too, yayyy!
The lyrics of „Like a Rose" are about accepting the two sides of our emotional relationships: both the beauty and sweetness but also the challenges, difficulties and the disappointments we experience. 
The image of a rose shows both sides - petals and thorns, while some of the most beautiful things in our lives come with a lot of thorns. It’s best to accept this and live with the thorns AND the beauty of the blossom. Even if it takes a lot of work, humbleness, forgiveness and patience. Eventually we can hope to see the rose blossom: "Your love is like a rose - I can see the blossom unfold - take off the gloves and learn how to hold it".

SAY YES - my first collaboration with wonderful singer JUNIOR from L.A. 

The song is about falling in love, and also about deciding. Because sometimes when losing one’s head you are in a situation when you have to choose whether to follow your feelings and go all the way - or not. And that is not easy to do - especially when you’ve just lost your head.

Taking the chance and also the risk of failing can be a real hard decision. Because if you eventually don't go for it and don’t commit to love, you could regret it for the rest of your life. 

When I fell in love the last time, it was quite difficult for me. I was totally in love but really uncertain about changing my life totally. I was lost, struggled and fought with myself for some months. 

Eventually, I managed to decide on a whole new life and set out on a new path. I said YES - and that was the right thing to do! And this is what the lyrics of SAY YES are about.
