Rabe is back with their 2nd collaborative EP - Aquarius  - this time working with Tibilisi based artist Lidvall. 
„You Are” features a fusion of Rabe’s voice as well as her profound and touching sound design, mixed with Lidvall’s intense and cyclical structures giving the piece a contemporary and vigorous enchantment. Putting the listener under a spell and carrying them into a subliminal space. „Second Face” pushes right through with its hypnotic unrelenting composition. Followed by „Fused Identities” which takes you to to new higher ground, letting you take a breath and a break for the first time, an unexpected turn on this journey which then settles with „Ordinary Demeanor”  and its rooted and vast harmonious soundscapes bring the listener backdown to earth.

Mechanical Babylon comes in two flavors, depending on your needs. The Closing Mix is as anthemic as it gets, with sweeping uplifting pads over thunderous drums. If euphoria isn't what you're after, the Drum Tool Mix is all thrills and no frills, just pure intensity. 

Closing out the EP, B-side Cybernetic Dream takes early '90s Techno into a new dimension with that signature low-end movement. Tribal percussion completes the drum section while swelling, dense chords add immense forward momentum.

For our third release of the year, we welcome back the elusive Norwegian artist Jonas von der Fehr, aka Innestemme. Having debuted on the first Core Values VA two years ago, he now brings his first full release as an artist. As a highly successful artist in his other life, his mastery over melodic elements and song structure shines brightly and melds with higher-energy techno for a beautiful amalgamation. 
Title track Reaktor kicks things off in a snappy, drum-focused fashion, and quickly evolves into a melancholic club record. Lush, sweeping staccato strings fill the breakdown for a momentary breath before the drums kick back in. 
B-side Metylen takes a more heads-down rolling approach. Rolling drums and bass immediately build momentum as more atmospheric plucks appear.
Closing things off, Mancheter's Arkane returns with his rendition of Metylen. Where the original concentrated more on melody, Arkane goes the opposite direction and creates a much darker, pumping, and tribalistic rendition.

A haunting synth sequence opens FUSE10 with ‘The Sky Above’, showcasing Setaoc Mass’s intentions for the rest of the release. Playing with decay and sifting through shakers, the seasoned producer fills the spectrum with constant tension throughout the entirety of the A1. In ‘Shaded’, whipping white noise over sixteenth synth notes, the pressure rises and falls with whistling accents on the transitions. Keeping the dancer on their toes with a lively arrangement, Setaoc Mass keeps his hands on all elements to maximise the record’s progression. Moving to the B side, Feeling blends harmony and robust tone. Claps thunder through the track’s warehouse acoustics, complemented by a sharp lead cutting through a heavy low end. The structure remains elusive and quick like the previous two, and it boasts a full, grinding sound destined for peak-time sets.

The end of Feeling then dips down into a two-track journey of ethereal sound designs and soft melodies. Keeping the rhythm swinging, Flutter By settles the atmosphere with an IDM-inspired iced synth and pads. This change of emotion pushes depth into the record, providing a welcome surprise in Static Rush. Setaoc Mass then signs off with the final contribution to the EP, Overload. Pushing further than ever into melody with hints of Detroit electro and a complete absence of a kick, the producer teases a slithering arrangement that ends his record with a bold conclusion.

Slam return on their Soma Records label, with the Quiet Riot EP. 

2020 has been a very prolific year for the the duo, delivering their 4th EP for the label so far this year. All their firing trademark sounds and intricacies remain intact in this 3 track hard hitting release. 

Severed opens with hard, industrial elements as the relentless percussion fires off, but in true Slam style the vibe remains hypnotic and engaging. Motor drifts into more Birmingham-esq  territory with twitch and modulating sequences leading the way again straight, jacked up percussion. Intensifying things on the last track, Electrical turns up the drive and delivers tension with white knuckle percussive workouts, thundering kicks and dynamic synths.
