A retrospective of something profound to me, which should have led to a different outcome.

Kiss you on the steps without a care in all the world as time flies by
Distance seems to work for me, the place where we first met is too judgemental
Whenever we can get away the passion that we had returns to try

This is my first collab and it's with Anne Lee. I love her voice.

I wrote this song to describe the catharsis that comes from the sense of total loss in this world, during a time that I would consider a very low point in my life. The strong negative feelings I once felt, the mantra needed to get through the hours when nothing was distracting enough to cope. "The person that broke me can't possibly fix me it's more than we both can afford".

Gravitate to the corner of the parking lot and the wrappers and leaves follow
The wind blows there and I often wonder if it takes me there when I'm feeling so low.
Sometimes I choose to embrace the regular foray
Other times it takes great change to make it all OK
Never thought I'd feel this way
Seamless stop between the cracks in the asphalt an and the sidewalks that I roam on
Fast food franchise long forgotten life among the night time snacks and croutons
Sometimes it feels out of place and I will just crumble
Other times I feel too welcome and so humble
Never thought I'd feel this way
I survive to see life's little wonders
It makes up for all my little blunders

"Dog are great role models when you are learning how to smile." 

I was a bit on omnichord heaven with this. Something about the unpredictability of the instrument gets me to appreciate what the end result is much more. 

Through Expression speaks more to music as an outlet and hope that pure kindness and forgiveness will win out with even those with the blackest of hearts.

People's negative impressions can drape over you, especially when they come from someone who has been important to you. It can be beneficial to look at these impressions as schoolyard names that once slid off of you, and find a way to laugh them away as nothing more than something that interrupted a game of tag with those that know you best. They're wrong.

I moved to the east coast eight years ago and experienced the most pivotal years of my life. There is something about this rugged, unforgiving place and direct and honest culture that leaves a person feeling exposed. I like to think of my music as simple and from a place of vulnerability and courage. Thank you for taking the time to listen and stay in touch.
