Hello friends!

I hope that you are having a good time preparing the celebrations of this end of the year. I’m very pleased to present you a new composition called «Apostle Paul». I started this project in the end of November month beside my other composition «King of The Lost».

I started my musical journey by writing orchestrations for biblical themes and characters. Apostle Paul was always a contemplation I wanted to work on, but the time and other projects did not make this happened sooner. 

All biblical characters have a unique personality and story. They are so rich and full of subtleties that one life only is too short to create symphonies regarding all this matter.

To make it very short, Paul was an enemy of the first christians. He was torturing them, and did everything he could to destroy them all. But, on his way to Damascus, he saw a powerful light that made him fall. He also heard the voice of Jesus, and then repented of all the evil he did. 

He became one of the most important apostle ever. He suffered persecution, torture etc. He did everything he could to preach Biblical-Christianity everywhere, spreading the forgiveness of sins and the love of Christ for human beings. 

To read his story, you need to go to the book of acts in the Bible. Just after the gospel of John. You could also read his letters, which are following the book of acts. 

Here is one of Paul's quote : 

«Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.» (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Regarding the construction of the piece, as always I prayed to receive inspiration. I cannot compose anything without it. I wanted to create a theme that could illustrate the tragedy of this character. I wanted to hear a profound lamentation of Paul’s heart due to his past. But I also wanted to bring the light of Christ in it to make it complete. 

The light of Christ, his love and forgiveness can be heard at 1:34. And then, all over the piece. 

Also, the piece describe an ascension, at 4:17, Paul arrives into the Kingdom of Heavens, with the Glory of the Lord upon him. 

The end of the piece describe a melancholic though of mine. A deep compassion and respect for such being.
