It’s a song about being honest enough to see your own shortcomings, and humble enough to work on them a little more each day. The lyrics reflect on what we take from our parents — the things they did right, and the things we try to do differently — and how growth often comes from that quiet self-awareness.
At its core, Learning Slow is about grace: the kind we give ourselves as we stumble forward, learning from the past while trying to build something better. Because no one gets it perfect — but if we keep trying, day by day, we’re moving in the right direction. We must choose to learn slow or not at all, the effort itself is what makes us human.
