Consolation #3 Franz Liszt

Completed with a Disney karaoke mic, all instruments/voice and editing completed in GarageBand on a mac in a college dorm room.

The high plucky sound was create by a ukulele, and a heavy level of sound editing to make it more hallucinatory. 

Guitar was taken and unedited for the most part aside from giving it an echo-y sound, then repeated and added in as necessary. Anything you hear that is expansive is the guitar with an echoalia filter on.

Bass was just a simply an improv riff, it was meant to be really warm and gentle. It was meant to carry the song instead of having a ton of percussion. 

Finally, I sang on top of it. It felt weird honestly and I might re-record the vocals just bc I don’t love the pitchiness at times. I wanted to be really airy in tone and sound. Like you’re in a sad dream that when you wake up is real.

I’m just honestly impressed the Disney mic was pretty solid in capturing the sound.
