"Ain't no question about it. We just got to organize and stop being ashamed and afraid to tell the man what's been on our mind for 400 years, cuz black power is scaring the hell out them and we ain't even organized. yet." Detroit 1966.

This track captures a moment in time, 58 years ago, when the struggle for racial justice involved taking calculated direct action against police brutality; It is the intention of the artists to honor the origins of the Black Power movement. Black Power was a call for black people to transform their own communities.

You either have power or you don’t. Black people don’t. Mayor Cavanagh has power, I don’t. So how can you talk about sharing power when he has all and I don’t have any?”
