To celebrate this merriest time of the year , the three wise men Foreign Concept, Stray and Xtrah are kindly giving away two special VIPs of two previously released Critical tracks.

First up is Foreign Concept & Stray's - Bang It (Amen Bang Out VIP) ,a rowdier take on the much loved original from Foreign Concept's Tag Team EP earlier this year. Secondly we have Foreign Concept & Xtrah - Harsh Reality VIP , which is sure to get heads nodding even harder in this re-lick of the track released on Critical's Sequence two EP in 2012.

Over the course of the last few years Critical Music has become without doubt one of the few ‘buy on site’ labels that exist in drum &amp; bass today. Always one step ahead of the pack led by the inimitable Kasra, it continues to build release after release, now acting as an exclusive home to Enei and Foreign Concept. Here we’re treated to the second installment of the ‘Sequence’ series and as you can imagine it’s everything you’d expect; strap yourselves in – incoming audio inside!
  First up Shogun’s Spectrasoul are given the keys to ‘No Fear’, Enei’s huge track released last year on his ‘Stonehead EP’. Turning the original bouncing vibes into an even more dangerous piece of D&amp;B is what the duo have done, bringing smashing breaks and some grizzly-arse bass into the mix to create one of their darkest productions to date. Crazy good.
  Kasra then teams up with longtime friend and compadre Cyantific for ‘Minerva’ a frenetic but brooding slice of tech-noir drum &amp; bass. Full-on rolling b-lines and even a little mentasm absolutely kill it, smacking drums and off-key fx keep this one properly twisted.
  Next up it’s the turn of Foreign Concept and new face in the scene, Xtrah. ‘Harsh Reality’ is exactly that with the sound-off vocal and police sirens signaling the drop into a stripped down groove, oozing class and soul. 
  Finishing up is another Critical collaboration between Kasra and Enei, this time opting for the cinematic sounds of ‘So Real’. Drone bass runs the roll here with snapping percussion, female vox and pads all combining for a piece of music with real depth and integrity. A very polished, mature way to end yet another first class release from the Critical camp.

One of the UK’s freshest new drum & bass talents drops his debut solo single on Critical, this one is simple mammoth! Emperor has been making waves over the past couple of years moonlighting with various camps but it was the keen ear of label boss Kasra that cottoned on early drawing him deep into the Critical ranks. If this new single is anything to go by, one of the best decisions Critical could have made.
The cinematic intro of ‘Begin’ is beautiful blend of strings, reversed fx and the sultry vocals of Georgia Yates who featured on the Enei album last year. All build to a haunting dropout before the next stage, an absolute nasty tech-stepping future roll-out that’s been getting Fabric in sweat these last few months. Twisted, uplifting and wonderfully emotive, this is another slice of Critical magic.
Next up and we’re treated to the vintage double-bass grooves of ‘She Said’. Another huge epic intro featuring a soaring vocal drifting over ethereal pads features here as hi-end percussion leads into the fattest bassline for a properly funked up dance floor workout. Think Roni Size ‘Brown Paper Bag’ or Peshay’s ‘Miles From Home’ for 2013...bad to the bone!
