I am so keen that this is out! "Hold u" is really a reflection of life for me. I was in a tough place when I wrote it but I’ve always seen those low moments as where the most beauty can shine through. That’s why the track has those softer, emotional breakdowns - they represent the lows - and then when the drop hits, that’s the light breaking through. It’s a dance record at heart, so I wanted it to feel uplifting and free, but still carry that realness of what I was going through.
