He was blinded by life’s dismay. 

His only focus, to survive the day. 

A recipient of a parasite, absent of soul, decency, deceptive fool’s gold. 

Though the circle stays small, approach with caution.  

To avoid the fall as it will test you often. 

Its prize is not your pocket change, instruments, or sterling chain.
