Week one of the weekly cream. 

One evening, I was playing around with piano arrangements in an attempt to emulate Steve Reich, Cello counterpoint and the idea of resultant melodies. However, after watching the open ceremony for the commonwealth games, I was inspired to take those ideas somewhere different. 

There are quite a few commonwealth countries where it is still illegal to be gay - The Maldives is the point of interest here as I remember reading an article about a homosexual blogger that had his throat cut as he was leaving his home. 

This song is a story of my own personal research and learning into the still backwards laws in some countries. I put on my best Birmingham accent to narrate as that is where the commonwealth games are hosted this year. 

Please be aware that this piece of music is purposefully controversial.
