In Greek mythology, Lycaon was the first mythical king of Arcadia.

The myth says that he tried to test Zeus' omniscience by serving him the cooked flesh of Lycaon's own son Nyctimus, in order to see whether Zeus was truly all-knowing.
In return for these gruesome deeds, Zeus transformed Lycaon into a wolf and killed his offspring; Nyctimus was restored to life.

Moreover, there were rumors that in ancient Arcadia, there took place human sacrifices to Lycaeus Zeus, as cannibalistic rituals of a cult which had the wolf as its totem.
In that annual sacrifice to Lycaeus Zeus, a man would transform into a wolf every year, but became a man again if he did not eat human flesh for ten years.

Contrary to the current trend of 20+ track comps, we feel that keeping the track count low allows us to maintain a regular release schedule and top-shelf quality control. For our initial blast, Professor Izzm curated a very fine selection of tracks from some close friends around the world, including Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica and Japan. These tracks have a funky, brightly twisted vibe, with just a hint of melody dissolving into pure psychedelic chaos. Future IRORICOMPS will be compiled by other irOri artists and partners-in-crime according to their tastes.
