What are we trying to prove? What’s the point? Although this song can be viewed through several different lenses, parallels can be drawn that Disillusioned is about the artist’s journey. In just 20 words, this song begs the age-old question, why does anyone do anything? Do you create for yourself or do you create for someone else? How does one measure success? True artists understand that the only reason you create is because there is a fire burning inside and only through constant creation and evolution of one’s craft can the artists feel satisfied. Disillusioned is one of those songs that created itself, as if it has always been floating around the universe and somehow was captured and brought into existence. Disillusioned puts the listener in the driver’s seat as they are taken into the mind of an artist stuck at a crossroads between creation and destruction, with psychedelic rock as their soundtrack.

Like most of Cronkite Satellite’s songs, i4i hits upon multiple topics, however the most dominant issue i4i touches upon is humanities over reliance on electronic devices that tell us what to think, what to listen to, what to watch, what to buy, where to go, who to date and who to hate. We pay little attention to those working behind the scenes, pushing our thought process along the path they feel best benefits their own self-interests, like a well levied river.

Detention is a song about viewing our mishaps as opportunities for growth, rather than seeing these situations as unforgivable failures. This song is sung from the perspective of a teacher using this brief moment to sit down with the student and encourage them to see outside of themselves. The teacher is not punishing or demonizing the student for their stumble. But rather, showing the pupil that everyone makes mistakes and by learning from these experiences, we can become the best version of ourselves and make the world a better place. Soon, the student will become the teacher and the younger generation will be behind the wheel. Hopefully these lessons learned through real life experiences will guide our flawed past towards a perfect tomorrow.

Priceless Crisis is a song about how the advancement of human evolution has been derailed due to our obsession with money. The worship of money is causing human evolution to go backwards, devolving us into our prior animal selves. Now we only seek comfort in objects that own us, rather than in our accomplishments and willingness to selflessly help the ones in need. Rarely do humans share something that could benefit the world without first asking “what is in it for me.” This obsession with money is also causing mass pollution by creating material objects that people have no real use for while needlessly exploiting global resources and fellow humans in the process. Profits over people has become a standard practice around our planet rather than focusing on the wellbeing of every man, woman and child. Sadly, we are now addicted to this false profit and only a paradigm shift will cause humanity to wake up to our invisible overlord. Imagine how many people could be fed, healed and sheltered instead of spending that money on weapons of death and mass manipulation.

Priceless Crisis

Moment Of Clarity is a song about the final breath we take right before we die, when we see our lives rush past our eyes. In this split second we relive a lifetime wasted on frivolous quarrels and being surrounded by useless material possessions. All while wishing we spent more time exploring the world around us and laughing with our loved ones. But regardless if our life was fulfilled or wasted, it's now time to take our final bow and exit the stage of life.

I Like The Sound Of That

Disaster Complete is the greatest piece of music I’ve ever created (so far) but you will probably hate every single second of it, and I’m 100% fine with that. If you’ve ever wondered what’s going on inside of my head, this is a perfect snapshot. With this album, I decided to throw away all of the rules I've learned over the past 20+ years in the music game and just opened the flood gates to see how far I could push my sound. I simply wanted to test my limits, leave my comfort zone and see what I could come up with. Disaster Complete is more than a song, it is an experience. Disaster Complete is a piece of art, not a commodity for the masses to devour and claim as their own. Hopefully you can close your eyes, put on your seat belt, open your mind and take a deep dive into the abyss. Hey... at least it’s something original, right?

[FREE DOWNLOAD] I teamed up with the sensational French artist Bénédicte Niel to create this hypnotic song. “Hit Cha” from my album AFTER LAUGHTER. This song is about realizing that more often than not, we get stuck inside of our own heads, thinking only our clock has the right time. The world doesn’t cease to exist when we close our eyes. And once we realize how little we actually know and begin to seek out new knowledge from multiple perspectives, a new and evolved portrait of existence begins to unfold before us. Many of us (and I’m guilty of it too) numb ourselves from reality in order to remain blissful through ignorance. But in the grand scheme of existence, we all need be the change we hope to see in our world. Easier said than done but there is a way. You do not need to be a super hero. Instead, be a little hero. This way, if we are all doing a little bit to make the universe a better place, it will make a LARGE difference.

Lucky you! You're listening to "Oh My Goddess," from Cronkite Satellite's 7th album "After Laughter." I like to write songs with multiple meanings, rather than a 1 dimensional songs with only 1 meaning. Furthermore, I hate saying what my songs are about because then it will forever interfere with your imagination and what your possible interpretation could be. With that said, I would like to point you in the right direction because I'm very proud of this song and how it turned out. "Oh My Goddess" is most certainly a love song and can easily be heard as a simple song about 1 person in love/lust with another person. But if you dig just a little deeper below the surface of this song, you will see that it's not about a person at all. It's actually about something much larger and that touches and protects EVERYONE. Just like my previous 6 albums, I wrote, recorded, arranged, performed and produced this entire track/album.

Weekday Getaway [Feat. Mrs. Cronkite]  • Cronkite Satellite

Quarantine life has got me thinking. It's making me realize how we are on a giant rock flying through outer space at an incredible speed, but no one is actually in control. So I decided to document this crazy historical event we are all currently living through in a song. I'm sure this track will be outdated soon enough but it'll be a great audio photograph to look back on later in life. I'm sure we will one day look back at all of this chaos and laugh about it, but until then, I'm staying home and making more music. "Lockdown Showdown" was entirely written, recorded and produced by myself, between the days of Friday, April 17th & Monday, April 20th (2020). “Saint We Ain’t” is a 100% independently written, recorded and produced song between 2 American musicians, locked down in 2 different countries due to Covid-19. Cronkite Satellite is currently residing in Singapore while Teague Bass is living in Malaysia. Although this song’s meaning spans multiple themes, the over all message is that if we all work together, we can overcome any obstacle. The musical aspect of this track hits on multiple genres such as Rock, EDM, Hip Hop, Funk and the Blues, resulting in a very unique listening experience. Check the sound of the soundcheck. The music for this song was composed while I was trapped on a beach during a dangerous tropical storm, on an island in Thailand. The lyrics are a poem I made about where art and humanity need to go if we ever want to get off of this planet. The recording and production was done solely by me in Singapore, while I was under a countrywide lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic.
