Rabbit Holes was written surrounded by nature, by the open widow of a rundown Cornish farm house after a period of listening to a lot of The Tallest Man on Earth. 

The song follows the path of someone yearning to reach their love who has gone to a place that can't be followed. Although they both want to be together, the desperate efforts are seemingly in vein.

Crooked Weather's second new single 'Hares on The Mountain' . A traditional piece, inspired by folk hero Davy Graham, but gone crooked.

The song tells a tale of women in pursuit of men, just as much as men in pursuit of women, though it's the headstrong protagonist, Sally, that made the song so appealing; Sally concludes the song, choosing schooling over young love. Holly's lilting vocals and Will's distorted guitar mirror this theme of men vs. women, juxtaposed yet harmonious.

A song named after it's place of origin - a beautiful nowhere beach at the tip of Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand.

The song is the expression of someone who, even surrounded by natural beauty, is riddled by pessimism and estrangement.

“Easy was one of those songs that just wrote itself and it’s hard to say where this kind of a song comes from. It had been fermenting away in the background for a while and ideas would come now and again when outside cutting the grass and things like that. “I wrote ‘Pay My Dues’ whilst touring Australia.  It was 43 degrees in the shady spot where I was hiding from the sun before a show and I got reflecting upon life as an independent musician: the investments and the seemingly miserly returns; and the need to find energy on top of the gardening job that helps keep the wolves from the door. These voices get loud sometimes and are made louder still by hard times. But when you really get down to it, you know that’s not what this game is all about. If that creative spark is in you, it's not a choice of using it or not, but rather what voice you give it. The magic of a new song being born or playing a show that changes somebody’s life has an intangible value. What a joy to have that spark inside just waiting. Pay My Dues

Based out of a tragic mustard coloured 1979 campervan, East-Yorkshire, Crooked Weather play rock infused folk music. The sound is lead by carefully crafted lyrics delivered by the lilting harmonies of Holly and Will. Their original music, although steeped in the folk revival of the 60's and 70's, has a raw, modern edge and is augmented by Tom & Dave: a fierce rhythm section.
