Written in collaboration with his Indigenous brothers. Recording didge, clap-sticks, animal mimicry and vocals. Showing the power and potency of this ancient land and culture.
This fusion of psychedelic sounds and Indigenous elements pays homage to the traditional ways of life in Australia.
It's an honor to be able to bring this music to the world. We are eternally grateful to Coedie McCarthy, Jannali Doncaster and Kiaron Assan for sharing their culture, recordings and artwork with Crooks for this incredibly special release...This is the sound of Australia.

Inspired by the original people of the land I call home, Australia.
This song is about celebrating the ideologies of the traditional owners of this land. Past and present.
The aboriginal people are a very generous and respectful culture. No matter which of the many tribes you look at, you will find they all share the philosophy of having a symbiotic relationship with all things great and small. Living in touch with the earth and the spirit.
This track features Jannali Doncaster. He is a young Yaegul, Bunjalung man from the Northern Rivers of New South Whales, and also a close friend.
Jannali's totem is the kookaburra and in his surreal embodiment he channels the energy of his ancestors through song and dance.
The main spoken words of this track are by the late Stephan Goldsmith, from the Kaurna tribe of the Adelaide Plains. The power of Stephan's message is undeniable.
Touching on the old ways of life in Australia.

Crooks (AUS) is the progressive trance project from Australian producer Jordan Crooks. Bringing a unique footprint to the Australian sound, working in close collaboration with his Indigenous friends and influences. Taking you on a sonic journey into the deep Australian bush and paying homage to the traditional custodians of the land that he calls home. 

Since its inception this project has taken to new heights. Playing at some of Australia's biggest and most iconic festivals. Tracks that have consistently blasted dancefloors across the world & affiliations with a handful of the biggest labels in the industry.

With his first full length concept album on its way and a powerful drive to set himself apart in all the right ways. Jordan and his collaborative partners have big plans for the future. This is just the beginning ... and the sound of Australia.
