Fade - Space (Original Mix)

I have made a live mix of mostly ambient tracks from the Swedish duo Carbon based lifeforms. Their music blends ambient with patches of static, garbled radio transmissions and disembodied voice bytes. This music revels in mystery, layered with lush synthetic chords, suggesting something akin to a long scuba dive in the waters of an alien world. 

CBL's sound design remains immaculate and its a revelation to hear the duo apply their craft to the 20 beatless, drone-based compositions of this mix.

Purple Sneakers, Yellow Shoes is a polished slice of 80s nostalgia - as if M83 met Mi-Sex in a crowded bar. It's a musical statement on the 'fakeness' of so much of our modern consumerism, and those that remain a slave to the 'dumb' fashion that guides it all. The song was written and performed by Zolton, produced and played on by 19-year-old Aussie music whiz, Taka Perry, and mixed by David Hemming.

This is my first song in a LONG time. Really, I have no idea where this all came from. It took about 2 hours to write, which now seems impossible, because of the synth and string arrangements and layered sounds (some 3 layers). Anyway I hope you like it, because it might be difficult to digest. This is a demo, I am reworking this and making more parts with cinematic vibes.

Also thank you to Timecop1983 for his inspiration and kind words on this song, which gave me infinite motivation.
