Home is commonplace for everyone, where we live and sleep, and where families are gathered together. Coincidence or serendipity, Home is the source of inspiration for two talented artists and creating their own track. With this special Dual Vision, we are glad to have both Codema and BVGSY DEL MAR into one release, showing their own interpretations of melodic and progressive house to the theme of Home.

Codema's vision of Home is interpreted as a beautiful safe haven, with a view of violet skies and the dawn of sunrise, as the track filled with balearic beats, flowing and glistering melodies, and the wonderful atmospherics and vocal pads. BVGSY DEL MAR's vision, on the other hand, is interpreted as lake-side sunset with nature and flowing waters, with a sense of comfort. Such vibes are delivered with a beautiful piano melody, surrounded by soft arps and pads with a slow yet upbeat style of beat.

We hope enjoy this special release of Home: Dual Vision, with two different interpretations of Home by Codema and BVGSY DEL MAR!

The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Hugo Cantarra and PLN with their rework of ‘Intro’ by The XX. Hailing from France, Hugo Cantarra has been a fixture of the house music underground for the better part of a decade. On the strength of early releases via Armada and SIZE Records, Hugo established a sound that was both memorable and club-effective, propelling him to subsequent projects via Anjunadeep, Cr2, Siona Records and Ultra; amongst others. Now a staple of the melodic house scene, the French artist has the distinction of racking up 41 millions streams and 1.5 million shazams, while remixing the likes of Danny Howard, Eli & Fur, Gorgon City and Technotronic, in turn earning the praise of Adriatique, Blondish, Camelphat, Chris Avantgarde, Kevin De Vries and Vintage Culture. Also a well-travelled DJ, Hugo has shared the booth with a bevy of top international tastemakers in Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Guy Gerber, David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Meduza, Roger Sanchez and WhoMadeWho. A highlight and much requested track across Hugo’s 2024 gigs has been a rework of ‘Intro’ by The XX. Written in conjunction with elusive Polish artist and bootleg aficionado PLN, the duo’s rework has been a festival and club highlight this past year, championed by the likes of Eli & Fur who premiered it at the Yuma tent at Coachella to a resounding response, as well as Cosmic Gate, Korolova and Vintage Culture. Now, as the year winds to a close we’re happy to offer Hugo and PLN’s ‘Intro’ rework as a free download. Enjoy.
