Episode is a very heartfelt song that is very lyrically driven and was written based on the amount of homeless people we were seeing on a day-to-day basis in our home town of Sheffield. The song tries to capture what it must be like to step into their shoes, feel what they must feel and we tried our best to put that into words. Furthermore, this song also dedicates itself to those who struggle with mental health issues regardless, right across the board. As a result, Episode has become even more relevant to people’s lives especially after the year we have all suffered due to the pandemic. Something that has taken a toll on every person’s mental health and well-being. In the end, Episode has turned into a song which encapsulates how we all ultimately feel at the moment. In contrast, the music is very simple, however extremely effective at portraying the emotion in the song. The best songs are always the simplest!

If Everlong (Foo Fighters) and Anything (Catfish and the bottlemen) had a baby; we would like to think Step Out would be the end result.  With its punchy rhythm guitars in the verse - it supplies you with an instant burst of energy that hooks you into the song right from the get go. This sucks you in, to then drop you into a phenomenally open pre chorus/chorus that swings the mood of the song and gives off more of a dramatic feel. The lyrics are based around ‘stepping out’ of the friendzone with the person you are falling for and taking that next big step with them. Overall Step Out represents how one feels before this become the reality. Every musical element in this song is there to serve the melody. This in tandem, makes it very accessible for any kind of music fan to latch onto as it is a very easy listen!

Sweet Talker takes the EP into a slightly different direction to where it strips back to straight up, classic, Indie Rock n Roll as this song gives off a strong Arctic Monkeys and Primal Scream influence. Clocking in at only 2:19 minutes, Sweet Talker is the shortest track on the EP, however do not let that fool you! This track packs a massive punch that will leave any Indie Rock fan yearning for more. Sweet Talker gets straight to the point and doesn’t take any prisoners. Once you get hooked with its infectious rhythm, it will never leave you! With the lyrics being very tongue in cheek, the song is ultimately all about lust and desires, or “dangerous desires” if you prefer. Sweet Talker would fit effortlessly onto any night out playlist. 


Sweet Talker

As we hit the half way point in the EP, we arrive to the hyper song - Moonstruck. This song is the most Punk the band has ever sounded as it is nothing but a massive ball of energy. With its very off the cuff and in your face style, Moonstruck was the last song to be written on the EP and was originally written as we believed that it was the kind of song that the EP was missing. The track has attitude and fire in abundance, as the lyrics reflect the Rock n Roll lifestyle to its fullest. With the song shouting at the top of its voice with the topics of drugs and alcohol, this track is all about saying “F*** you I can do whatever I want” to the rest of the world, and gives off a pretty good impression of the after effects of doing so. This amplifies even more when it gets to the chorus as its Sex Pistols inspired beat, supplies you with a real throwback to 70’s Punk!


Moonstruck

Our very popular 2019 single All You Know has now been remastered for our EP 'Major Arcana'. The opening chords kick start a plethora of melodic hooks and intimate harmonies that charge you with the feeling of euphoria, from start to finish. All You Know delivers a very matured and refined lyric which is something that is very unique for a band of our age. Very emotionally orientated, this track represents someone who wants to get away, escape the real world and simply focus on the one who is most special to them. Who doesn’t share that feeling from time to time? All You Knows’ music possesses a real summer vibe which in turn, goes hand in hand with the lyrics. Despite this, you always get the feeling throughout this amazing track that there are deep underlining tensions that are carried throughout the song, giving it a very Muse inspired feel to it. This single is the ultimate Alternative/Indie Rock power ballad for the indie kid!
