She started to listen to electronic music at early age and didn’ get tired of the deep and dark sounds from Detroit and Chicago. In her sets you can always expect something special and surprising. Especially the addict to the opaque and bleepy sounds from the Electronic Pioneers of the 90’s and their heirs is something you will always find in her musical trips. The new Episode comes from the inside of CROSSING-ALEX with its founder AVION. 
Playing his first gig when he was 15 years old electronic music became a main factor in his life.
AVIONs passion for music started early inspired by his brother and artists like Jeff Mills, Depeche Mode, Nirvana or Björk.
His first visit to Tresor Club at the age of 14 was severe. The lights and darks, the atmosphere and sound. From then there was no way back.
Over the years he played at several local and transregional clubs and organised together with friends his own local parties.
After leaving his hometown he settled down in Berlin and started intensively working on his musical view and producer skills.
The future plans grew and by launching ‘Crossing‘ end of 2013 he established his own platform for floor orientated puristique electronic music.
Crossing released works from Pfirter, Doka, Distant Echoes, Thomas Hessler, Blind Observatory, Stefan Rein, Tripeo and himself.

For this Episode AVION selected Tracks combined between Acid, Industrial Moods and Techno which inspired in the last month as well as upcoming stuff on his imprint Crossing.

Their sound blooms violet across fields; swaying, conscious of its place in the wind. Each song stands as an analysis of deep, diverse and detail driven biota. Slow melodies and eerie atmosphere offer something that shows us how beautiful Primal Code’s sound is.

Primal Code [KONSTRUKT 008]

This release, an 8-track compilation on 2 x 12", features material gathered over the past 2 years - either particularly exciting tracks from etablished producers like Ron Albrecht or Philippe Petit or outstanding music by fresh faces such as Noncompliant or Espen Lauritzen. Some of these tracks are also featured on the Berghain Mix 08. The DOUBLE MIXPACK E.P is all techno, but it covers a pretty wide range of styles within that genre. The result is a nice mixpack for the dedicated selector: After the testpressings had been sent out, the overall feedback was that one could have a lot of fun experimenting around with these 2 records. The FiedelTwo#3 is basically the kind of releases that would allow a DJ to keep on mixing for half an hour after they've shot all their bullets and have nothing left in the bag:  no fillers, only killers.

Marcel Fengler’s IMF label is putting out a three-part compilation this month to celebrate their tenth release. A project that has taken almost two years to complete, it will feature artists new and old to the label including Shed, Luke Slater, Scuba, Arthur Robert and AVION.  Across 18 tracks, Fengler has said the project hopes to showcase the eclectic nature of the label and the full range of music its artists have produced.

Long-time label collaborator Thomas Hessler features heavily across the compilation. Premiering is his original on the compilation, the melancholic, euphoric and funky ‘Senses'.
