After several remixes and compilation tracks, Yuven returns to Radikon with his second original ep. With ‘Aniki’, Yuven forges into new territories with two breaky originals that stay true to his profoundly emotional brand of electronic music. Radikon co-founder Jonas Saalbach lends his seasoned touch to ‘Soap’ in a fierce re-imagination.

Yuven’s signature sound is hopeful, uplifting and drenched in nostalgia. ‘Aniki’ is a stylistic departure and Yuven’s first foray into breakbeat, beautifully marrying anthemic chords and a deeply moving lead synth to a powerful, intuitive groove. With ‘Aniki’, Yuven wears his heart on his sleeve, and we are grateful to be along for the ride.

It is nigh impossible to name an artist whose music flows more naturally from mind to sound as Yuven's. ‘Aniki’ is the well thought-out brainchild of an expert producer, but also a profound encapsulation of raw feeling in auditory form and a milestone in the career of a fascinating artist.

Chris Crox aka. Crossing Chris was born 1986 in Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance. Very early his father inspired him by electronical music (Dream Dance, Yello etc.). Maybe his tracks have a certain different vibe because of his origin – the vibe of the wave of Constance Lake. At the age of 13 Chris started to express his thoughts musically with the sample kit Ejay. However, because it’s not possible to establish his own style with such a program he lost his desire to deal with Ejay after 3 years sample kit and 3 generations of Ejay. He paused his musical hobby, started to write lyrics and a little rapping with friends. Many late night freestyle sessions and countless beats of renowned American hip-hop producers inspired him to produce hip-hop beats himself on his ideas (examples: Cunning Lynuguists, Beatnuts, etc.). Having a deeper connection to the music scene now, he met several people who produced music with semi- and professional sequencers (FL 6, Cubase, etc.). Through the offer to produce an album with a lyrical talented rapper he came to Munich a city characterised by the electro scene. Although the project had to be canceled because of the poor health of the rapper, he met great people in his first flat in Schwabing, Munich, who had been involved with music for a long time (DJing, rapping, ect.) and showed him a broad spectrum of different styles, which made him find his own style. After having produced hiphop beats for a long time, one could notice his tendency towards electro evermore clear. His recent tracks are known and liked to be heard to a large group of friends. At the moment he works at his first professional album, on which he takes his time until it’s perfect to him. Chris Crox intension is to express his feeling through music and to fascinate his listening audience so they want only one thing: dance! It is not important to him to make money with his music, he only wants to articulate his own feelings in the form of music - in his opinion, this is the only true path to good music!
